Story will score low to third as the throw comes back in. This is a 3-2 game. Try to get this fast ball he’s going to give you. Runner at first taken off and a fake toss by Moreno. So Hamilton will pick up the theft of second. His 20th of the year. Need a big hit. Has the count his way with runners at second and third. The two nothing pitch. Hard ground ball and bobbled a bit there by Lawler. He’ll fire and run away. Two runs will score. Conor Wong sent down to second and the Red Sox flip it. Alexander one for two today. And that’s going to drop in strike three. Sweeper for a strike at 82 miles an hour. One gone. And that’s going to be inside ball four. Kelly walks him first and second. And Zack Kelly ready with a 2-2 line drive base hit. Thomas rounding Durant up and throwing home. The run will score and this game is tied. So it’s Lleier at second. Lawler at first with the one out. Runners go and it’s going to be in there for a strike and a double steel. Two-2. Swung on and missed to get him. Mareno will gather it and throw on to first for the K. 3-1. Big swing, but he popped it up into left field. Lawler out and nearly a collision with McCarthy behind him. Two down. Fly ball headed Sadon’s way. He’ll wait on that. And two down. 3-2 run. It goes again. And it’s high for ball four. Red Sox have runners at first and second for S. Don Raphaela in the ninth. And a line drive into left field. Dropping. Dropping. It is a dive and a miss. And a run is in. It’s going to go all the way to the wall in to score. Gonzalez. Eaten right behind him. The Socks in front. Six to four. To Narvay. Swing. Lobs it into right field. That is going to drop down for a base hit. Here comes Sogard. The throw to home plate not in time. Another run scores. Red Sox have some wiggle room in the ninth. It is seven to four to produce late in the game. A chopper here by Bregman to third. Waller. Another high roll. Pulled him off. He’s going to be safe. That’ll put him on at first and second. The inning still alive here in the ninth. Two two again to Lleier. Swung on and miss. Struck him out. Slide is pretty filthy. Another K will be taken off. 3-2 swing and a miss. Hei gets it done. The Cuban missile once again comes through. Red Sox win it seven to four.

Sox needed this win badly. I was at the first game with my family and we were devastated because we were very excited for it and waited a long time. Glad this wasn’t a frikin sweep.
