Players in hot pursuit of this pop up that can create problems , takes charge down to a knee hauls it in. Mason Thompson comes in out of the bullpen for the nationals. Carson Kelly digs in 1 to 2 with a home run. Here’s the pitch high, fly ball , deep left field, make it two home runs. This one is way out of here. Big insurance run. Carson Kelly, it’s now three to one cubs over the nationals in the eighth for Kelly. That’s home run number 16 on the year. Big swing of the bat for Carson and the Cubs, he didn’t flinch on this one. He waffles this ball. This is a long way up. The bleachers in left field, big swing of the bat. Daniel Palencia takes over trying to close this one down. Palencia 22 to 24 in save chances this season, Robert Hassell the third at the plate left handed hitter for Washington. Hassell hits it hard left center carrying. See you later, robert Hassell apo his third as a big leaguer. And we’ve got a one run game. That’s the first two strike homer he’s given up this year too. Do it. Robert Hassell, let’s go. Nats continue to fight the Cubs. Abrams’s ball stays fair. He’s safe. It’s gonna roll and roll and stop for a base hit back to back two straight knocks. The tying and go ahead runs are on base for Washington with no one out here in the top of the ninth Abrams with excellent speed. The tying run at second wood. Now at first nationals are going to send a pinch hitter to Riley Adams. The catcher was due up but now josh Bell will hit rear 22 pinch hits including four doubles, a triple and three pinch hit home runs and coming up in a big spot and josh Bell hits one a ton out to left center. It is still in the air. It is in the, the nets have shocked the Cubs closer in their proud of 33 1000. Bill. Did I tell you that? He’s put that baby in his mind. Just don’t do it right there. Josh Bell with an emotional, let’s go boys and nobody out here in the ninth inning in a four spot foot on the Cubs here in his ninth inning and at the plate, the corner, Suzuki goes to pick it up, sprinting for third and he’s got a triple restless and Valencia has no answers. He really reached back for something extra on that. One kind of came out of his mechanics and tweaked something that he felt it immediately wherever back leg the glove dropped. I’m not sure what it was that was bothering. Maybe he just grabbed him, you know, a cramp or something. I don’t know. I don’t know. I’m just speculating order. Washington as we head to the bottom of the ninth at Wrigley jose Ferrer is on the pitch for the Nationals down to the final out with the walk half is aboard and the tying run will come to the plate in the form of Suzuki up the middle garcia to the bag in the to a series win. What a afternoon the Nationals rally late and win it 6 to 3 and come into Wrigley and take two of three. This one kind of a stunner.
