Gray is one of many veteran starting pitcher options that the Giants will look into this offseason.
Simply keeping Verlander seems to be more of a possibility with his 2nd half performance. They could still use another vet starter even if Verlander stays.

It doesn’t get more SF
You can never have too much pitching
Wouldn’t mind if it’s a 1 yr deal
Bob’s like let’s get the old gang back together lol
Ok
For Verlanders sake I hope he goes elsewhere. Pretty sure Walker blew 3 of his wins alone. Didn’t realize Sonny is coming up on 36 years old.
I just don’t see the giants trading for a pitcher in the offseason. Maybe if they need arms mid season, but they have no trouble finding arms in free agency.
Sonny Gray is absolutely an appropriate name for a pitcher in SF
Good and bring Yaz back too, we like Vandy boys
Maybe 5 years ago. Sonny is 35 now.
We don’t need a Social Security ward for players
Do we like Framber?
While we’re at it, let’s trade for Matt Olson and Sean Murphy. What’s Khris Davis and Yoenis Cespedes up to?
$40 million for a 36-year-old starter on the decline?
I’m sure the Cards would happily give him to us…
should’ve gotten him a few years ago
Non-story, I’m guessing “Nick Deeds” is either AI or someone who plugs sentences into ChatGPT to generate repostable slop. Don’t hack at it.
Na, I’m good. And he has said he wants to be closer to home (not west). So na, he can sign elsewhere.
I swear, if Verlander just added a fuckin two-seamer into his arsenal…
Not a good idea
