Okay, let’s get into it. Washington and Miami. Marlins are coming off a win against the Phillies 5 to4. We’re still waiting on the outcome of the Nationals game from Sunday, but it does look like they’re going to take a win over the Cubs. On the season, Washington are 37 and 53. Miami are 66 and 77. And this is going to be the fourth time these two teams have met this year. The Marlins do own the season series five games to four, but the Nationals did sweep them just last week. This pitching matchup is going to be a bit of a coin flip to be honest. We have Kate Kavali getting the mount or getting the ball for Washington. It is only his sixth start of the season. He’s been bit up and down. 564 ERA in his last five games. That said, that ERA is particularly skewed by one bad outing against the Yankees a couple starts ago. He gave up seven runs and only two and a third. Otherwise, his other recent starts have been pretty solid. Now, on the other side, we’re going to see Jansen Junk. He is coming back from a quick stint on the 15-day injury list with an elbow injury. He’s usually good for a few runs allowed per game and I do imagine he’s going to be on a pitch count here given the elbow problem. That’s where I don’t love Miami in this spot because their bullpin has been extremely shaky. So, if Junk can’t go very far, there’s a very good chance that the bullpin is going to allow quite a few runs. They have a 611 ERA in their last 10. Meanwhile, Washington’s bullpin has been the best part of their team. They have been phenomenal. A 160 RA in their last 14. So, honestly, the Marlins, their lineup’s a little sluggish right now. They haven’t been hitting great. Pitching’s not reliable. I’m going to roll with the Nationals here and take Washington on the money line. And that will be my free pick in this one.
