  14. Losing our home opener can do a lot to people. I still think a 7-10 season is realistic though, and in spite of what so many people are saying about how Maye played, did anyone actually watch the game? Because he looked really good in the first half and even on the first drive of the second half until the interception. We weren’t going to be a playoff team but I do think that first half was reason to be optimistic.

  23. 3/4 of the AFCE in the top 5 is pretty funny. Buffalo is probably going to get 6 real easy wins this season.

  27. I hate to be this guy…but Pats fans really need to understand that this is our reality. You never want to be the worst team in the league, but the last 8-10 drafts have been so incredibly bad that we need 2-3 straight drafts where we hit on at least 75% of the top 3-4 picks of each drafts. We need studs that are impact players right away at premium positions and hope they either stick with Maye to develop him – or do the smart thing and cut bait sooner than many would think because 8-9 or 7-10 is NOT where you want to be in a draft or rebuild.

    If you watch these games hoping for playoffs or hoping for 2014 types of production, that’s on you.

    This is a multi-year rebuild and the entire organization has made that clear and they did exactly what you should do when you start it – spend early to get the key guys you want, help your QB develop, and get ready to build through another 2 drafts before any sense of hope for the playoffs becomes expected.

    Maybe I am wrong but I don’t think so. This will be a 5-6 win team with a top 7 pick. And the Patriots need to focus on offense because that’s the league. Period.

  28. Sounds good until the team decides to squeak out a meaningless win in the final game and drops to fourth for some fucking reason.

  29. Look at it this way. A win last year week 1 against the Bengals and look what happened after. You just never know.

  30. If it comes down to one final game we need to lose to secure the pick, I have full confidence in Josh Dobbs to deliver where Milton could not, even if he plays to the peak of his ability on that day.
