  1. I’m always so happy when nobody on my team is on this list.

  2. Volpe really is that bad. If you extend this sample to the last 3 years he’s at or very close to the top (bottom). For someone with as many PAs as he’s had he’s the worst hitter in the sport and one of the worst Yankee batters of all time. AND his defense is bad.

    But don’t worry, he’s elite.

  3. I know this post was made for Volpe, I just can’t prove it

  4. I was kinda hoping Ceddanne had found some more consistency offensively but he really is kinda looking like JBJ v2. Amazing defense and streaky as hell at the plate, which I’ll take every day, but it was fun when he was hitting like crazy in June-July

  5. Seeing Volpe having a WRC+ of 17 felt like a goddamn jumpscare. Holy shit he’s been even worse than I realized.

  6. I take it Sean Murphy and his -11 RC didnt qualify. He is so bad he scores negative runs. How is it possible both suck and blow at the same time.

  7. Seeing Elly up there hurts my soul. He’s the heart and soul of the Reds and has likely pushed himself too far this year trying to play every game. The guy’s sister just died and he’s trying to play through a quad injury.

  8. I’m guessing Javy Baez isn’t qualified because he’s rocking a 38 wRC+ in the same timeframe (not that you’d know from our sub, which doesn’t seem to realize that he’s been horrendous since the AS break)

  9. I’ve never heard of the #1 guy before. He must be miserable to watch hit… nearly every game.

  10. Elly De La Cruz badly needs a couple of days off. He’s been battling leg injuries for over a month but apparently really wants to play every game this year and the team seems determined to let him.

  11. I love that PCA and Rafaela are both so good defensively that they are still a 0 WAR when having an atrocious hitting slump

  12. Teoscar’s offense not being anywhere close to what it was last season is compounding his defensive issues in right field for the dodgers basically all season.

  13. Kjerstad & Mayo turning out to be Quad-A players who can’t hit at the majors is a huge bummer.
