What is going on guys? Brad here for pits.com. I got a pick in this Diamondbacks versus Giants game going down on Monday, September 8th, 2025. But let’s get right into this one, guys. We got the Diamondbacks headed into San Francisco to play the Giants. The Diamondbacks are finishing up a series against the Red Sox on Sunday, whereas the Giants are finishing up a series against the Cardinals on Sunday. U these are two of the hottest teams in baseball right now, and they’re getting hot at the right time. You know, the Diamondbacks are eight and two straight up in their last 10. The the Giants 8-2 straight up in their last 10 as well. And believe it or not, believe it or not, both of these teams are still in the hunt to make it to the postseason. With how poorly the Mets have been playing as of late, the Giants are four games back from the six spot. And then the Diamondbacks are four and a half games from that spot as well. So, I never I I did not think that the Diamondbacks or Giants I thought their both of their seasons were shot, but hey, if they keep winning, this thing is not over for both of these teams. So, this is a massive series for both the Diamondbacks and the Giants. I feel like whoever loses this series probably chalk it up um start looking towards uh 2026. But if you if if one of these teams could win the series or potentially even sweep the series and things are going to get interesting, guys. Things are going to get interesting. We’ve seen these teams play seven times so far this season with the Diamondbacks winning four of those matchups and the Giants winning three of those matchups. And you know, when you look at the pitching match up here, you got um Chris Matt on the mound for the Diamondbacks and Logan Webb on the mound for the Giants. Look, we haven’t seen much of a sample size from Chrismat, but he’s actually been pretty damn good. I mean, in his three starts, he has a 198 RA. You can’t be mad at it at all. Um let’s see. And then Logan Webb has been pitch uh pitching pretty damn well as well. I mean, he’s 4-1 in his last five. has a 251 erra in his last five. He’s been damn good. And when it comes to this game, guys, it’s really hard to fade Logan Webb when he’s playing well in Oracle Park. It really is. And now that the Giants are starting to give some of these San Francisco pitchers some run support, I think this team is dangerous. I think is this team is dangerous. And I’m going to have to roll with the San Francisco Giants in this one. You know, this is a Giant team what over the last month or so I’ve been uh very critical of. We were fitting the hell out of them. But man, you’re eight and two straight up in your last 10. Um you know, you’re you’re sweeping teams. You’re beating some good teams. You’re sweeping teams like the Cubs. Like this team’s playing some good ball and I kind of want to ride the wave and especially with their ace Logan web on the mound with what’s on the line.
