Picked that up yesterday… one of those candle melting pot things…I don’t even like candles but this is cool as hell
Very cool! Next year being the Jays’ 50th season, I think we’ll get some nice commemorative keepsake options to mark the occasion.
Edit: as an aside, do you think the Jays next year might do something like name their top 50 Jays of all-time?
My mom was my big baseball influence and she’s a Jays fan, I got this coin for her the year it released for one of the big hallmark days (Christmas? Birthday? Mother’s Day?) but I don’t remember which. It sits in her Jays shrine with all her keepsakes.
It’s really nice, I should look into getting one for myself too. Or, I guess, wait it out long enough and maybe I get this one back if my sister doesn’t steal it and trade it for meth.
I’ll give ya $20 bucks for it
That’s a nice one. I have the very same, got it when it was released by the Mint. They originally sold for around $110, and even now, the value of an ounce of Troy silver is $57. One of my favourites in my collection.
Fun fact, Canadian retailers are forced to accept these at face value as Canadian currency. They can return them to the Mint and be reimbursed for that face value through the bank. My buddy got a $2 silver coin through his job that was worth $55 in silver.
