Please tell me I missed a rule change…

An elbow doesn’t equal 2 feet

  1. Keep in mind that it’s already bad enough that he doesn’t know the rules, but the fact that no one else with a headset corrected him is scary, too (or maybe they’re tired of covering for his mistakes).

  2. We should have fired him and the staff when we fired Ran. His play calling on Sunday was terrible and so were some of his head coaching decisions. Dude called all long routes when we needed yard for a field goal AND mismanaged the time before half time so bad Denver got a TD on us. He’s terrible.

  3. Only reason I’m not livid he wasn’t fired last offseason is because there wasn’t in my opinion a realistic top candidate. Once this bozo is gone and we have another top draft pick + Cam Ward + Cap Space + New Stadium we will be a top spot for coaches

  4. I am hoping he meant there wasn’t a clear look if his foot hit before his elbow. Because that rule is kind of 101.

  5. Idek what to say. I’ve never seen an nfl head coach who doesn’t know the rules of the damn game

  6. Bro get this guy tf outta here. I never thought he should’ve survived last season. I hope he’s the first coach fired this season. We shoulda never fired Vrabel man smh.

  7. SECTION 1 – FORWARD PASS
    ARTICLE 3. COMPLETED OR INTERCEPTED PASS

    A player who makes a catch may advance the ball. A forward pass is complete (by the offense) or intercepted (by the defense) in the field of play, at the sideline, or in the end zone if a player, who is inbounds:

    (a) secures control of the ball in his hands or arms prior to the ball touching the ground;
    and

    (b) touches the ground inbounds with both feet *or with any part of his body other than his hands*;
    and

    (c) after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, clearly performs any act common to the game (e.g., extend the ball forward, take an additional step, tuck the ball away and turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so.

  8. VRABEL without a doubt KNEW the rule book better than anyone and would bend the rules bc of his knowledge.

    Callahan didn’t deserve to be HC. This isn’t even his fault, this falls on the owner. Any one of us would have taken the money and did our best to fake the job.

  9. It was pi. He was clearly as stunned as the rest of is that it didn’t get called and knew that challenging it wasn’t going to do anything. They obviously didn’t want us to move the ball. There were three obvious pi no calls in a row.

  10. He’s too busy being a terrible Offensive Coordinator to know the rules that a Head Coach should know. We should have fired this guy with Ran and now here were are full on sucking again because of that decision.

  11. I can’t keep doing this bro this whole franchise is a joke at this point dude ur getting paid 3 million dollars and none of ur staff either cares enough or knows the rules if I couldn’t do my job I would be fired we’re being patient but damn dude didn’t expect to win but we were in so many different way blessed by Denver horrible offense yesterday and still couldn’t win and the coaching was awful

  12. Callahan will never get another opportunity to head coach after coaching the Tits because he’s just a goof that got lucky to be coaching Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase and Joe Mixon

  13. The fact that Vrabel knew the rule book in and out makes this even more deflating.

    Not saying keeping Vrabel was the right move, but you expect some sort of an improvement. We went from run-run-pass to a chaotic mix between ineffective run & long developing pass play that ends in a sack.
