Feels like just about everyone talks about every role player on this team except Bona and he seriously has the most potential to be an actual decent back-up big. Am I alone in this thought? I seriously feel like he is easily the most underrated player on the team.

  1. Definitely getting an Adem Bona throwback Jersey when they release. He’s a very fun player to watch

  2. People don’t talk about him because his potential is to become a decent backup big.. not exactly what dreams are made of, even if it would be a useful development

  3. A lot of us that actually watched games last season already know this. He’s gonna be a solid player for years to come.

  4. I have way higher hopes for him than most, I imagine. I think there’s so much defensive potential and BBIQ. If he is only a 10-12 mpg player I’ll be disappointed.

  5. I watched a couple eurobasket games an he looked extremely raw despite the obvious athleticism. His usage was basically just off-ball screen, loiter in the paint, off-ball screen, off-ball screen, foul, screen, assisted dunk, screen, block. Turkey probably didn’t have enough time to work a young backup into their strategy, but I was also wondering if my opinion of him had been too colored by highlights.

  6. I think Bona is gping to be the starting C at the beginning of the season.

    Here are the alternatives

EMBIID – possible injured forever. No indication he will be playing.

DRUMMOND -:Washed. Looked awful to the point of losing his minutes to Bona at the end of last season

BROOME – Old rookie. Remarkable slow and unathletic. Got beat on D by everyone during Summer League.

Bona is the winner by default. His ceiling would be prime Clint Capella. An athletic rim roller who blocks shots and rebounds.

  7. The city’s kind of out on the Sixers right now so secondary storylines like Bona aren’t making headlines. Just typical September things
