Now with a very good start to the ball game tonight, the Rockies are hopeful that it will be a good outing for chase doer. He’s Pittsburgh. Ryan Ritter advances to third two out and the Rockies with a runner at third for Mickey pitch is swung on and missed six strikeouts through three innings for Tyler now and with one out and two on here comes Otan, he’s one behind kyle Schwarber for the national league lead in home runs, got him on a breaker on the back door. Huge punch out two down and Luie Betts trying to get he on kim home in time of the ball game gets to. Betts is hit to right field. It’s pretty well struck. Freeman on the run. Pitch swung on and a bouncer to short backhand play by Mookie Betts throws on the first stretch by freeman. He’s got him and it’s a 123 top half of the fourth inning threw away the Dodger half of the fourth inning Hernandez. He sends it in the air to shallow right. Ryan Ritter, the second baseman wants it. Their season is going nowhere and this is a foundational piece doer is putting together one of the finest starts of his young career but has to leave the game with what looks to be a lower body injury. The bullpen takes over for the Rockies. The Dodgers catching a break so the time run moves 90 ft closer , 90 ft away. He’s back out there with a 1 to 1 score, the best we’ve ever seen swing on this strike three got him strikeout number 11 and Glass now has not given up a hit through seven innings tonight. Dodgers have the go ahead run at third and some insurance at second and trying to get Dodgers three. Rockies, Tyler Glass. Now now in position to win this game as the bullpen takes over after his seven no hit innings. It’s Blake Tron two gone in the eight a pop up on the left side. Blake Trin in a 12388, no hit innings combined tonight. And now it’s Tanner Scott trying to finish off a combined no hitter at the plate. Ryan Ritter driven a deep left field that will break it up and now the Rockies will get the tying run to the plate on a leadoff double by ryan Ritter against scott. And you can hear the boo birds because they know what happened the other day in Baltimore when he blew his ninth save of the season. Oh, boy, that was not pretty Ritter going back in there. I hope he’s ok. He needs to come out, but that’s at least encouraging one out. Scott’s had a tough week. So back on the saddle right now trying to finish things up Doyle off the middle Betts. Is there two gone in the ninth one out to get for Tanner. Scott Goodman pulls it to third M he’s got it. That’s the game. Scott gets the save. The Rockies, avoid the no hitter with a double to lead off the ninth. Most importantly though the Dodgers win the game and hang on to first place by one game over the Padres.
