Rockies vs. Dodgers Game Highlights (9/8/25) | MLB Highlights

Now was scratched from his last start. He flew home to Los Angeles. Everything’s clear with his back. He’ll start today looking for his first win since March a few back spasms. But yeah, he’s had eight days rest probably rehydrated by now and he’s going to be throwing the ball tonight to the Rockies and I think he should be living in the strike. The reason he coming off a great outing because he had no walks, only gave up one home run. If he can avoid those two achilles heels, he’ll be outstanding, swung on and missed to get him to chase the slider. A long battle. It took 10 pitches but he wins it and gets strikeout number one on the double back to back cases. And moniak is out trying to strike out the side and he does back to the breaking ball to get Goodman Tyler. Now with a very good start to the ball game tonight, the Rockies are hopeful that it will be a good outing for chase doer. He’s Pittsburgh. Well on the road, Jack very solidly this year at home, a completely different story. His, er, a at home almost three times where it is on the road. It will be shi who homered twice in yesterday’s game leading it off. Here’s the one to on the inside corner. Strike three was a changeup and it painted the inside corner to hit two home runs yesterday. Mookie Betts is two for five with a home run of his own. This is popped up down the right field line and, and we go, ok, I don’t think so. I think he runs into that pole. You’re exactly right. It does look like Bruel is going to leave this game. Farmer grabbed his first baseman’s glove, he’s going to replace him to the sign from Goodman. Do Lander’s 10th pitch is hit in the air to right field, not deep despite the crowd being excited and no problem for Tyler Freeman to grab it. Second out. One of the big swings against Do Lander as the Dodgers exploded against the M Coors field a couple of weeks ago as a home run from this man, Freddie Freeman and Freddie sends it in the air to left all kinds of room for Jordan Beck. He puts it away and chase do Lander with a 123 1st ball four. And here’s the first baserunner for the Rockies got Ezekiel Tovar next, the rocky shortstop. Big job to miss no chance for war. I mean, no shot. Stolen base number 16 for Jordan Beck. Scott Beck is second. Nobody out the 22 pitch pokes it down the line tasker over. Still going with Rocky color shoes on, makes the catch but the third goes back, puts a man at third base with one down. Now, Kyle Farmer came in at first base, gets his first at bat and this will get the job done deep left field way back and caught mid track by Conforto and back jobs home great offensive execution by the Rockies and welcome back Max Munsey. He’s at third base and Munsey will bat in the cleanup spot. High fly ball to left easy play for Bec two men out Landers retired the first five Dodgers tonight. Strike three called it caught the outside corner again with a fastball this time 100 miles an hour, a 123 2nd with a pair of strikeouts for chase Doland Fernandez 891 come up for the Rockies on the inside corner for strike three, a bit of tailing action right there. Locked him up has been pretty much nothing but strikeouts walk so far five K’s but that’s the second walk. Ryan Ritter advances to third two out and the Rockies with a runner at third for Mickey pitch is swung on and missed six strikeouts through three innings for Tyler now and with one out and two on here comes Otan, he’s one behind kyle Schwarber for the national league lead in home runs, got him on a breaker on the back door. Huge punch out two down and Luie Betts trying to get he on kim home in time of the ball game gets to. Betts is hit to right field. It’s pretty well struck. Freeman on the run. Freemans is up and he makes the grab on the track for out. Number three and Shakes do Lander with his fist in the air. Goodman is 5 to 3 and there’s one away no hits in this game to the outside edge to get him looking seven K’s for Tyler Glass. Now two gone in the fourth one to zero. Pitch swung on and a bouncer to short backhand play by Mookie Betts throws on the first stretch by freeman. He’s got him and it’s a 123 top half of the fourth inning threw away the Dodger half of the fourth inning Hernandez. He sends it in the air to shallow right. Ryan Ritter, the second baseman wants it. He’s got it another 123 for chase Do Lander. That’s out number two. Nothing been easy for the hitters in this game. No hits on either side. 31 popped up right behind the bag at second. Drifting over a little bit to his glove side. Mookie bench back pedaling makes the catch and it’s another 123 innings for Tyler Glass. Now looking for the first hit against Chase Doland, who we mentioned has struggled against the Dodgers, but when he faced him back in June, he hadn’t given anything up through five innings and monsoon was falling is 02 to conform to left field and there’s the first hit Conforto chugging out of the box. A leadoff single one on one out in the fifth. And here’s Paz. Paz will hit it on the ground to Carol. He goes to Ritter at second for one on the first. And farmer held the bag. That’s a double play, one run on no hits as Tyler now back to work 12, swing and a miss strike three. It’s in the dirt and rope throws it down a little bit high. Freddie jumps up, grabs it steps on first. That’s eight of them total for glass. Now, one away in the six, it says an odd feeling to it just because he had no hits through five and one third, but he’s at 85 pitches. So number one, he’s not going to get a chance even if he were to keep it good swing and a miss on a curve back to back K’s and nine total looking to get the double digits with only a couple of walks. 10 strikeouts for Tyler Glass. Now, six, no hit innings strikes out the side here in the six walks on four pitches, 76 pitches, nobody warming in the Rockies full. If there’s any question here, they’re going to take him out. Their season is going nowhere and this is a foundational piece doer is putting together one of the finest starts of his young career but has to leave the game with what looks to be a lower body injury. The bullpen takes over for the Rockies. The Dodgers catching a break so the time run moves 90 ft closer , 90 ft away. Freddie Freeman can Freeman come through a bouncer on the right field line to score Freeman to second with a double. It’s wants to rip that to, with his teeth. So it’s up to Conforto to try to give them their first lead of the game and a ground ball up the middle but right to the shortstop to over to first base for the out two outs. 10 strikeouts for Tyler six, no hit innings. He’s back out there with a 1 to 1 score, the best we’ve ever seen swing on this strike three got him strikeout number 11 and Glass now has not given up a hit through seven innings tonight. Dodgers have the go ahead run at third and some insurance at second and trying to get Dodgers three. Rockies, Tyler Glass. Now now in position to win this game as the bullpen takes over after his seven no hit innings. It’s Blake Tron two gone in the eight a pop up on the left side. Blake Trin in a 12388, no hit innings combined tonight. And now it’s Tanner Scott trying to finish off a combined no hitter at the plate. Ryan Ritter driven a deep left field that will break it up and now the Rockies will get the tying run to the plate on a leadoff double by ryan Ritter against scott. And you can hear the boo birds because they know what happened the other day in Baltimore when he blew his ninth save of the season. Oh, boy, that was not pretty Ritter going back in there. I hope he’s ok. He needs to come out, but that’s at least encouraging one out. Scott’s had a tough week. So back on the saddle right now trying to finish things up Doyle off the middle Betts. Is there two gone in the ninth one out to get for Tanner. Scott Goodman pulls it to third M he’s got it. That’s the game. Scott gets the save. The Rockies, avoid the no hitter with a double to lead off the ninth. Most importantly though the Dodgers win the game and hang on to first place by one game over the Padres.

  1. Glasnow finally got his second win, and that's what I'm most happy about😊Glasnow had an exceptional pitch today.I'm so glad the bullpen didn't spoil it😅He always deserved to win👏👏

  2. Nooooooooo!! I wanted the Dodgers to lose to yet another tanking franchise! Oh well, at least we just beat a team in one try that they couldn't in 6! And now a message to my haters Micheal Latko, Japanese punk, and Sheepdog nerd, wherever he's been since the last time things went his way: We're just 1.5 games out of a playoff spot, just beat the best team in baseball, and are just one win away from the Silver Boot. Yall thought we were gonna be eliminated by now, but we're still here! Like this comment if you think Andy Pages is a little sheep! Baa! Baa! Baa!🐑Rangersforever❤

  3. With how disappointing the Dodgers have been the last couple of games, I was lowkey rooting for the Rockies just to see how low LA can go. Especially when Treinen and Scott came in, I was half expecting another walkoff 😂

  5. Man I thought we would lose again, every time Glasnow started the game our boys have been shy hitting, thank God they hit some ball today.

    Let's go..

  6. I was at this game and it was the first time in many years I attended a dodgers game where they won(excluding one game I went to last June that I had to leave early from), but I was happy I finally got to see a full game with a Dodgers win! I was happy enough to finally see a win in person that the no hit bid went away in the 9th was no problem for me, I was just ready to finally experience a win and I was so happy I finally did!

  7. Ohtani, a two-way player who excels at both pitching and batting, is the protagonist of a manga world, but Dave Roberts' world of whimsy is literally a drama without a script, keeping us on the edge of our seats.
