Reaction to Aaron Rodgers’ Steelers debut vs. Jets | NFL PrimeTime

Now, Aaron Rogers has changed a lot of teams. What is it? Year 21 for Aaron. Look, this is what Pittsburgh, this is what Aaron Rogers did today. Ball the last two minutes of the first half. Yeah, they get a touchdown with 30 seconds or or whatever it is to go. Touchdown, fumble. We pounce on things that maybe not everything went great. Although, four touchdown pass is hard to say. Nothing wrong. But this is what you get. the key parts of the game in this one. Again, he delivered. I think if if you’re Mike Tomlin, your defense didn’t play well today. But what you saw from Aaron Rogers was what you’ve been missing in those key moments, in those critical situations, a quarterback that doesn’t panic, a quarterback that makes the proper situation. All Pittsburgh needs is proper proper professional quarterback play. That’s what they got today. He doesn’t have to be the MVP anymore. He just needs to play the way he played today. That defense will tighten up. They’re not going to give up 30 points every week. And I think Mike Tomlin feels really good about by about by about this team. This is a win they got today. They wouldn’t have gotten it last year. Even though Aaron Glenn lost his first game as head coach, I think he had not thrilled they lost the game. Okay. They look like a real team. I mean, they ran the ball really well on a Pittsburgh defense that does not do that. And you can see and Fields threw the ball pretty sharply. I think they’re in pretty good hands there. Admittedly, you know, they’re not catching Buffalo, but this looked like a team that was confident in what they were trying to do. Agree. The first thing a coach has to do is establish his identity and his culture. They rushed a passer today and they ran the football. They were physical. I think when Aaron Glenn looks back on it after he gets over the loss, he will realize that his culture is starting to take imprint on this team. They were physical and they made Aaron Rogers very uncomfortable in that pocket. The Jets front four is for real. They ran for over 180 yards. They they moved Pittsburgh off the line of screaming. Key plays. Who made them? Yeah, we’ve seen this movie. Exactly. And Pittsburgh is hoping to see the movie a lot. Yeah. Past the popcorn. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]

  10. We needed his performance, because the defense missed the flight to New York. We had to round up homeless, drug addicts, winos, and street thugs, put them in uniform to play defense. I know that is true, because what I saw on the field playing defense in Black and Gold, sure didn't look like professional football players!

  11. Tom Brady always had a good o-line even when he went to Tampa, Steelers need to protect him and magic will happen. Giants and steeers can learn something from the top 10 teams for the last decade

  14. Oh wow that old 💨basically was helped out by the jets not getting that PAT and that 2 point conversion. Outside out that the score would have been 35/34. So if you’re going to fluff Aaron because he won 34/32 just admit it ESPN. He basically got sacked 4 times and had to work harder for his 4 TD’s than fields did to his 1. Sad espn will be saying nothing next week when he loses to the Seahawks.

  16. ITS THE JETS LMAO!!!! The steelers should of lost. They got lucky. Jets looked 1000 times better than the steelers all game and the jets are a 6 win team. The steelers are at best a 3 win team. Period.

  19. The Jets looked good but after today their season is over. They're NOT going to win the division, especially after watching Buffalo beat The Ravens, so now we're talking about a potential playoff wild spot. To get one of the two wild card spots. The two AFC Wild Card spots WILL be SOME variation of the Bengals, Chargers, Chiefs, Ravens, Steelers, or Denver. The Jets are basically playing for fun this year, because there's no way that the JETS make the PLAYOFFS this year.
