Between the Cleveland Guardians and the Kansas City Royals, pair of lefties on the mound at this one for the Royals. It’s Noah Cameron listed as the starter here, while the Guardians will counter with Joey Kantio. And Cameron coming off a couple of uh rough outings. One of them was rough. His last road start was rough against the White Socks. Gave up six runs on eight hits and a pair of home runs. Over five innings of work. Didn’t record a single strikeout. But then the next start against the Angels, it wasn’t bad from a runs allowed perspective where he did give up three runs on five hits over five innings of work. He issued five walks in that start as well. So that was a little bit of a concern for me with Noah Cameron in that outing. But, you know, you go up against now a Guardians lineup that in the last two weeks against left-handed pitching has kind of lived up to what we’ve seen from the Cleveland Guardians for the better part of the season, which is that they are a team that struggles against left-handed pitching. They’re hitting 210. Their strikeout rate is almost at 28%. The team OPS numbers are bottom five in baseball. The isolated power numbers are decent, but that just means the few opportunities they get, they’re they’re they’re take they’re putting a charge into the ball. And maybe that could be a problem against Noah Cameron who has a lot of home run in four straight. But I still think that the uh I still think that the uh the Royals are a solid enough team here and Cameron’s a solid enough option to be able to hold down Cleveland in this Cleveland offense. On the other side though, you’ve got Kantio who’s coming off of three straight starts where he’s allowed one run. You know, he pitched well on the road against the the Red Sox and the White Socks, the same White Sox team that gave Cameron issues. And, you know, he had a nice return to the rotation after a short stint on the IIL. And I think that he can pitch well here against the Royals lineup that’s actually worse in the last two weeks in terms of batting average and team OPS than the Cleveland Guardians are and as well as isolated power. You know, for me, there’s just, you know, not a whole lot to love about the Royals right now, except for the fact that they’re not really striking out against left-handed pitching. An 18% strikeout rate, but still the batting average is at 204. Really nothing to be excited about there. So, for me in this one, I I got to look at the under in the first five and in the full game. I think we’re just going to get a lowscoring game throughout here. I think this is going to be a bit of a battle in this one. And uh I could see this being sort of like a first to you know first of four wins like a 4-3 kind of game whichever way you slice it once the bullpens have their say which by the way the bullpens have been two of the better bullpens in baseball in the last two weeks. The Guardians with 3.16 erra and the Royals actually a league best 1.88 erra in the last two weeks out of the pens. So I’m going to go with the under in the first five and full game and that’s going to be my free pick.
