  2. I’ll get downvoted because of where I am, but I honestly have to say it’s Duncan because of more MVPs and FMVPs. I’d much rather watch Kobe though.

  3. Kobe had a huge impact beyond basketball that’s elevated the game. Kobe made basketball interesting and mainstream. I don’t know a young player in the NBA that brings that attention.

    Yes, Duncan as a basketball ball player was on Kobe’s level but the impact on the growth of the game is not close

  4. I have Tim and Kobe tied in the all-time rankings.

    They essentially had the same career in terms of success and milestones, but they both achieved it in their own unique way.

    I think it’s a coin flip.

  5. They are close on the rankings but Kobe should get the edge for his star power and defining legacy. Same for Shaq. Tim Duncan is great and had longevity but had a quieter influence on the sport.
