  1. Cursed series so far. That last AB for Yeli fuckin sums it up, great contact right to a guy.

Gotta get one tomorrow. All we really gotta do is stay healthy and play about 500 ball and we’re probably holding the one seed after 162.

  2. Not concerned one bit. Baseball is funky. We win many more games than we lose when Chourio, Yeli, and Contreras combine for 7 hits.

  3. Lot of hard hit balls hit tonight right at fielders unfortunately. This Texas team is hungry, we are getting unlucky. Still not worried.

  4. Rangers are a good team and have great pitching staff. Good thing we won 4 out of our last 5 coming into this series as I knew it’d be tough. Let’s take the win tomorrow, not get swept, and start afresh vs the Cardinals.

  5. Now at 3 weeks of below .500 play with a little under 3 weeks until the playoffs…concerning. This also felt like another patented playoff loss. Tons of guys on base, can’t cash in, and ultimately falling just short.

Rangers have a playoff worthy rotation so this is the kind of pitching/resistence we’ll be seeing in a few weeks…

  6. Just can’t get swept. Get the win tomorrow and the winning road trip. It will be tough vs Kelly, so really need another Freddy gem. Really Unlucky today, but still need take this one. Don’t care too much about the Cubs right now but the Phillies are inching closer.

  7. Well that wasn’t as bad as last night, but that was still painful to watch. Yes there was bad luck yada yada yada, but I hope Murph lights a fire under their asses in the locker room. Maybe even rips into them a little bit, because they’ve got to finish the season strong and with momentum. The last few seasons the Brewers have just sort of limped into October once they’ve clinched a spot, and it’s shown in how they’ve played. This is the kind of team they’ll be facing in the postseason—clutch defense, good pitching, timely hitting. You have to find a way to beat teams like that even if they’re hot if you want to win the World Series.

  8. The only thing I think the Brewers need to clean up is their base stealing lately. Everything else just seems like they don’t have the power or bad luck.

  9. I want say Im not worried, but we’ve lost series against the Cubs, Giants, Phillies, and now Rangers in the past few weeks, all of which are playoff/Wildcard teams. Only silver lining, I guess, is the team seems really unlucky with hard contact but right to fielders.

  10. The ole hedonic treadmill of baseball getting us all again. 4 game lead on the BEST RECORD IN BASEBALL. 6 games up on the Cubs. 33 games over .500! 16 left to play. Sure they’ve been coasting a bit, but it’s reality that long stretches of baseball that begin with double headers can lead to slowing a team down. I’d feel different if I was watching them play bad baseball. It’s not a perfect product, but they aren’t falling apart.

If at this point you still don’t feel more confident in this team than in years past, I’m not sure you ever will. They need to finish .500 to close out the best regular season in Brewers history. Oh, and if they do that, to be passed up the Phillies would have to go 13-3, the Cubs would need to finish 14-2, and the Dodgers could finish 16-0 and not pass them. RELAX.
