The New Orleans Saints Just Changed EVERYTHING…
The New Orleans Saints just made a decision that has their entire fan base split right down the middle. And what happens in nine days against the Arizona Cardinals could determine if this gamble pays off or blows up in their faces. While other teams are playing it safe with their week one lineups, the Saints are rolling the dice on choices that nobody saw coming. And the ripple effects are already shaking up everything we thought we knew about this roster. But here’s what makes this even more intense. The Saints aren’t just hoping their risky moves work out. They’re doubling down on a philosophy that either launches them into playoff contention or leaves them scrambling to pick up the pieces by October. Every single position battle that just wrapped up tells a story about where this franchise is headed. And some of these decisions are going to shock you when you see who actually won the starting jobs and who got left behind. What nobody’s talking about yet is how these roster moves connect to form one massive strategy that could revolutionize how this team plays football. But there’s a catch that could derail the entire plan before it even gets started. The Saints have built something special on paper, but when we dive into each position group, you’ll see exactly why week one against Arizona isn’t just another game. It’s the moment of truth for a franchise betting everything on their new identity. But before we get into that, hit that like and subscribe button for more Saints and all the NFL content. Let’s aim for 500 likes on this video. Spencer Rattler just became the most controversial starting quarterback in the NFL, and the Saints organization knows it. While Tyler Shuck sits on the bench with more draft capital invested in him, Kell Moore handed the keys to a second-year player who threw more interceptions than touchdowns last season. And now every Saints fan is wondering if their head coach just made a genius move or a catastrophic mistake. The truth about Rattler’s rookie year is more shocking than anyone wants to admit. Last season wasn’t just bad luck. It was a perfect storm of disasters that would have broken most quarterbacks before they even got started. His offensive line got destroyed by injuries. His top receivers spent more time in the medical tent than on the field, and he was basically throwing to practice squad players while getting hit on every other drop back. Most rookies would have crumbled under that pressure, but Rattler kept fighting through it all. Here’s where it gets really interesting, though. Moore isn’t just giving Rattler a chance. He’s making it crystal clear that this is his quarterback for the entire season, not just a few games to see what happens. The coaching staff believes they finally have the pieces around him to see what this kid can actually do when he’s not running for his life on every play. But the pressure is now completely on Rattler to prove that last year’s struggles were about circumstances, not talent. Alvin Chimera is about to attempt something that should have happened years ago, and the fact that it hasn’t is driving Saints fans absolutely crazy. The veteran running back finished just 50 yards short of the 1,000yard milestone last season despite missing multiple games. And now everyone’s wondering if this is finally the year he breaks through that barrier or if the Saints are about to waste another season of his prime years. The supporting cast behind Kamar tells a completely different story than most people realize. Kendry Miller isn’t just depth. He’s being groomed as a legitimate weapon who can handle serious workload when needed. Devin Neil brings that physical element that can wear down defenses late in games, while speedster Jones Jr. adds a dimension this backfield hasn’t had in years with his 4.3140R dash that makes defensive coordinators lose sleep. What’s really wild is how Kell Moore plans to use this group together instead of just riding Kamar into the ground like previous coaches. The offensive system is built to lean heavily on the run game. But with so many different skill sets in one backfield, opposing defenses won’t know if they’re about to face a power run, a speed sweep, or even Rasheed Shahed lining up in the backfield for a gadget play that could break the game wide open. Jawan Johnson just signed a contract that made half the Saints fan base furious. And now he has to prove that $30.75 million over 3 years wasn’t the biggest mistake Mickey Lumis ever made. The tight end position became a massive question mark when both Taesm Hill and Foster Maro landed on the PUP list, meaning they can’t even touch the field for the first four weeks of the season, leaving Johnson as the only proven option at a position Kellen Moore loves to feature heavily in his offensive schemes. The wide receiver room is where things get absolutely insane, though, because the Saints didn’t just build for speed. They built a collection of players that defies everything we know about how NFL offenses are supposed to work. Chris Olive brings his 4.3940 dash to anchor the group. But the real story is Rasheed Shahed who never got to run an official 40 time but clocked a 10.700 me dash that projects him somewhere in the 4.28 to 4.32 range making him potentially the fastest player on the entire roster. The craziest part is that Devon Vele, who the Saints just traded a fourth and seventh round pick to acquire from Denver, is actually the slowest receiver in the entire room at 4.4740 dash. And he’s still faster than most number one receivers around the league. Brandon Cooks, Mason Tipton, and newly acquired Trey Palmer all bring 4.3340 dash speed to create a receiving core that’s never been assembled quite like this before. And the question isn’t whether they can get open. It’s whether Spencer Rattler can get them the ball fast enough before defenses figure out how to stop this speed attack. The Saints offensive line situation went from bad to catastrophic in a matter of weeks. And what Kell Moore did about it shows exactly why he’s not your typical NFL head coach. When Nick Salivary, Will Clap, and Landon Young all went down with season ending injuries, most coaches would panic and start making desperate phone calls to aging veterans. But Moore went hunting for specific players he actually wanted instead of settling for whoever was available. Rookie left tackle Kelvin Banks has been the one bright spot in all this chaos, putting together preseason performances that have scouts calling him one of the most impressive firstear linemen they’ve seen in years. The real drama centers around left guard where Trevor Penning is battling a turf toe injury on his opposite foot from his rookie season. Brandon Staley just threw out everything the Saints defense has done for years and completely flipped the script to a 3 to fours scheme that’s going to make or break this entire season. Instead of the traditional four down lineman setup that Saints fans have watched forever, the defense now features five guys on the line with Chase Young and Carl Granderson as edge rushers who need to create pressure from the outside while Devon Godshu anchors the middle as the nose tackle in a role that’s completely different from anything he’s done before. The linebacker core is where this transformation gets really fascinating because Demario Davis suddenly becomes the veteran leader of a group that includes Pete Wernern who’s finally being asked to take that massive step forward everyone’s been waiting for. But the real wild card is Danny Stzman. The player who’s been flying under the radar with his mustache means war mentality and the kind of intensity that could either become a game-changing weapon or a complete liability depending on how Staley uses him in this new system. The secondary tells the most dramatic story of all because Kool-Aid McKinstry is being thrown directly into the fire as the number one cornerback with no safety net behind him. Isaac Yodam brings veteran experience to the opposite side. But the real intrigue comes from Alante Taylor’s role in the nickel where Staley plans to move him all over the field like Jaylen Ramsay during the Rams Super Bowl run. And if that comparison sounds too good to be true, that’s because the entire Saints defense is about to find out if this scheme change was brilliant or a complete disaster. Something remarkable is happening in the Saints locker room that you can’t see on highlight reels or stat sheets. And it might be the most important factor in determining whether this entire rebuild succeeds or fails. players are choosing to come back to New Orleans practice squad despite having offers from other teams, telling reporters they feel treated like human beings instead of just football assets. And that kind of culture shift doesn’t happen by accident when you’re dealing with professional athletes who have options. The million-doll question hanging over everything is whether this speedfocused youthdriven approach can survive the brutal reality of NFL defenses that have months to study film and adjust their game plans. Drop a comment and tell me which Saints player you think breaks out this season. And more importantly, do you believe this team makes the playoffs or are they still two years away from being competitive? Saints will win 11 games the surprise team of the year
The truth is this guy doesn't know anything about the Saints or it's fans. Reality is most Saints fans are happy that Ratler is starting, the question is will he be starting in week 6.
We're already picking up the pieces dude what are you talking about?? If it doesn't work out this season, so be it. #rebuilding
Truth is Banks isn't the only bright spot on the O- line, can't forget that FUAGA, last year's first round pick is a beast on that line as well. ⚜️⚜️
I truly believe there will be two breakout players on the saints this season, Stutsman LB on defense & Devin Neil RB on offense. You've been warned ⚜️⚜️
It takes 4 games for a team to know what it really is. Assess well, and very good luck to you, Saints. Pats fan likes Spencer!!
Rumor is a Philippine conglomorate has bought out the Saints franchise and will be changing the team's name to the MANILA FOLDERS.
Shough should be starting ngl. He has more potential even middle of year than rattler does, he has proven that he isn’t reliable.
there head coach looks like he knew somebody who knew somebody to get in the door lol
I'm good with Rattler
This the most positive take on the saints.. love this channel 🔥
Saints now have a very good, speedy WR Group. If Rattlers plays halfway decent, this offense could be fantastic.
Rattler had his chance and he sucks..
Jones jr. will run 2 TD
Saints are starting the wrong QB and that is gonna set us back another year.
You already said that Rattler had a banged up O-line last year, and banged up receivers,so Y are we taking about he had more (interceps than touch downs)#2 he is the better option,Tyler is good but he has to work on pocket precence and surveying the field with better mechanics..#3 Y so many you tubers wanna keep flowing energy towards what can go wrong, thats all i hear (if this happen or if dat happen)all negative…Creating worst case senerios all the time…Make ya wonder if yall are really fans
No clue content. Content = filler
11-6,
1st year Ratler got his brains beat out; Peyton couldn't have saved us. Best case, he is gonna have ups and downs no matter what but by year end he should be starting to get solid. If so and we make playoffs? But regardless, it takes a bit for a quarterback to mature.
We the talent to do the same thing Payton came on and did!!!! The saints are going to shock the league 9-8
