Josh Giddey SIGNS 4 Year $100M Deal with the Bulls

It is finally over, ladies and gentlemen. The Josh Giddy saga has come to an end. The Bulls and Josh Giddy have agreed to a 4-year $100 million contract. This, of course, just breaking now as I’m recording this. We don’t know whether there’s a team option or a player option on the final year of that deal or if it’s just straight four years guaranteed. We don’t know if there are any partial guarantees, bonuses, incentives. I’m sure that’s probably going to break here in the next hour or so. But in any event, four years, $100 million, that gets us to about $25 million annually. In my opinion, this is pretty good value for Josh Goody. I had said from the get-go, I think $25 million per year is the right amount. Sure, maybe if they had gotten him for a little bit less, say in the 22 $23 million range, great. But $25 million is acceptable. 30 million was going to be a tough pill to swallow if that was the contract they were going to be giving to Josh Giddy at four years, too. good amount of length in terms of, you know, giving the Bulls somewhat some flexibility and the fact that it wouldn’t be a five-year deal. Again, if there’s a team option on that as well, that makes it even more favorable. So, uh, reacting to this in real time. Uh, we’ll see more of the details as they come out, but this is finally over. We no longer have to wait to see if he’s going to be taking the qualifying offer or if there’s going to be a signing trade of some kind. Josh Giddy is going to be with the Chicago Bulls for the next four years at $100 million. Uh, I’ll report some more details and some reactions to this as we get more information that comes out.   8. My Post are like Wine (go look).. I told you all for months that he should not and was not getting a penny over 25M/yr.. I told you guys this over and over in the comments. My post are like Wine!!! @25M/yr the Bulls are telling you that Giddy is their #3 on a championship level roster (they still need a #1 and a #2) , so Coby can either be the #4 ($20M/yr max) or he can be the #2 guy.. I doubt he performs well enough to be considered a #1 option on a championship level team..

    Now Im going to repeat what I said about Coby.. If they are sub 500 at the deadline they will trade him, if they look like a playoff team and he is the lead they will ride it out to the end of season. If they win 2 playoff games (not play in games) and Coby leads them to those wins, they will pay him #2 guy money (~30M/yr), if they don't win 2 playoff games or they do and Coby happens to not show up or be the #1 factor in those wins, he will be gone for nothing, because they are not going to overpay him. Cant do it in this new CBA..

  29. Literally been saying this for months 😂 Giddey wanted 30 mil and AK gave 20 mil just meet in the middle and that’s his worth imo since the end of the year
