🔴LIVE 🔴Boston Red Sox VS Oakland Athletics/September 08/ Baseball Envivo /MLB THE SHOW 25
is Major League Baseball on tap. It’s the Boston Red Sox going up against the Athletics. First pitch coming your way next. So, almost ready to get underway. Red Sox coming up the hit against Luis Severino. This guy has stuff. What’s the scouting report on him? Well, he’s been a real quality starter for his club and coming into this one, what stands out for me is that right-handed hitters have really struggled batting below 200 on the year. It seems that they have a hard time picking up his release point and tracking the ball into the zone. So, we’ll see how right-handers do against him in this one. Jiren Durant, the leadoff batter, as he looks at ball one. Severino kicks, steals, fast ball for a strike. It’s safe at first. The bunt single. It doesn’t surprise anyone when he gets on base by dropping down a bunt. I mean, this is just the latest example of him using his speed to his advantage and showing off his skills with the bat. That was very nice. Here’s Alex Bregman. He’s been a great free agent side. Double play ball to second. Flips it. Wanted second. On to first. Save. So they get one, but a really nice try there. Trevor Story. [Applause] Here’s Trevor Story now. So clutch. You could argue that he’s been this team’s MVP this year. Definitely wants to stay out of the double play here. Ball on the ground in the infield. Should be an inning ending double play inside. Ball one. He never moved because he never had time to. With that kind of velocity, you’d prefer that pitcher work away. Next offering is fouled back. The one-1 is fouled off. fouled off and they’ll do it again. I wouldn’t throw him another breaking ball. Try to go again with a fast ball. Slightly elevated. He just having a hard time catching up. Fouls it off. Still one and two. Also really good at bat. What I like about this guy, his bat stays in the zone for a long time. Gives him the ability to foul off tough pitches. And that’s outside. And now two balls and two strikes. Here’s a high-fly ball out to center under it. Snags it for the second out. Batting fourth, first base Nathaniel. Let’s take a look at our lineup and one of the most exciting young stars in the sport, Son Raphaela. Well, Boo, there aren’t many guys who have a flare for the big moment like he does. I mean, batting over 400 with runners in scoring position. Are you kidding me? I I know it’s not guaranteed or an automatic, but I hope we get to see him in a close late game situation with runners in scoring position and just see is he truly a machine or not. Nathaniel Low stands in now and watches strike one [Applause] just off the inside edge. And that’s pushed foul off to the left and out of play. Bregman off of first with two away. He goes down looking. One hit, one left. And the A’s will get their first opportunity in a scoreless ball game. And we’re back. Starting on the mound in this one, Steven Matz singing. He’s kind of a road warrior. Yeah, I definitely say so. You know, some guys shrink a little bit on the road. They’re so used to just, you know, having the comforts of being at home and having the fans behind him, but this guy seems to thrive in adversity and being in some hostile environment. So when you have a player like this on your team that goes out there and competes, you definitely like your chances away from your home ballpark. Shay Langalers, the leadoff batter, as he looks at ball one. The pitch, that one finds the zone and a count even one and one. to the right side. Whips it to first. One gone. Bottom half of the first. And time now to check out the A’s lineup. Not a whole lot going their way offensively the last few games. Chris. Yeah, Booan. That can put more pressure on the pitching staff to try to limit the opponent to just one or two runs a game knowing that their offense is not scoring right now. And that never really works well because you try to be too fine and you end up giving up a lot of runs. So, we’ll see if everybody can just relax, bring things together, and perform at a level that they’re capable of. Brent Rooker in the box now. No balls in a strike. Go, baby. Let’s go. fights that one away and the count remains 0 and two and that’s in the dirt. Liner snagged at first. That at bat is a positive sign even though it probably doesn’t feel like it. He hit the ball hard, but it doesn’t always work out in your favor. Sometimes a defender is there to make a play. And now Nick Curts, put that 600 slugging into context. The league average usually in the low 400s. A swing and a miss. And that’s strike one and takes low for ball one to the right side. Gonzalez your horse fires over to first and it’s a one, two, three inning. A’s go quickly and quietly there. Scoreless after one. Top of the second and stepping in for Boston, Romy Gonzalez. Gonzalez. Severino back to work. swings here and drives one well left field way back and you can forget it. And just like that, they’re out front. It’s one- nothing. One pitch, one swing, one home run. Yeah, you can say that’s efficiency right there. Didn’t need much time in the box to make an impact. He got his front foot down. He was strong on his backside and when his bat went through the zone, there’s no question that ball was going to travel out of the ballpark. But that’s if you were putting a tape together positive to watch. That’s it right there. Just a perfect swing. So digging in, Masataka Yoshida delivers a pitch in for a strike at 95. Severino 31 years old, he joined the team as a free agent. Nobody on, nobody out with a run in here in the top of the second. Next offering in there for a strike. And that is strike two. Mike Filmore, our played umpire, very consistent with his zone. Chris, gets a lot of praise for that. He does, Boo. And I think that with any umpire, you really just want them to be consistent. Fillmore’s a guy that does a good job back there in that way. So people around Oh, that got him. He had two strikes on him and he hit him. And now the center fielder, Sidon Raphaela, good defender. He’s been inconsistent offensively. Fast for a strike. [Applause] Here goes the runner. swinging a miss. Throw to second and he’s out. Usually when you see a team try to steal a base in the early innings, it tells you they want to be aggressive on offense, try to force the defense to make plays and slow them down. That’s exactly what they did right there. So, we’ll see if that caught stealing changes the offensive approach moving forward. [Applause] swings through that one. It’s a strike out. He came out of his mechanics there. Typically likes to shoot the ball the other way, but that time little anxious. Nick Sgard will hit next. And the first pitch misses for ball one. Two out. Base is empty. Swings through that one for strike one. Swinging a foul back. That’s out of play. Fights that one away. Still one and two. Severino and that skips in the dirt. Caught him looking for the K. The Red Sox pick up a run on a homer. It’s now one- nothing. Major League Baseball is on the show. And welcome back to the ballpark. Here’s the center fielder number 32 Thomas on the ground out to short [Applause] and he beats it. He’s saved. Well, that’s one of those where you just have to tip your cap because he couldn’t have played that one any better. Stood no chance with the speed running down the line. No outs. Runner at first. Now the A’s designated hitter, Jacob Wilson. And that’s through there for a strike. And it’s 0 and one. Tying run is at first. Bottom half of inning number two. Maybe a two ball. Five, four, three, and they turn the double play. They made that double play look so easy, but it was far from routine. That’s the one thing about big leaguers. They make tough plays look simple. Um, and now Tyler Soderstrom that one back up the middle and it gets through and that keeps the inning alive. Battlary. So next, Terrell Hern. [Music] [Applause] First pitch misses. Swang and a miss. There’s the change up. That’s in two. Sodrom leads off first with two down to the inning. Next offering is in for a strike. [Applause] Stays alive. Just missing there. Ball three. That one called just inside, I think. and on the mound. He’s trying to get a little bit of an explanation. Doesn’t seem to be too bothered by it, though. But he clearly thought it clipped the corner. Struck him out looking. No runs, two hits, no errors, and one left on base. We play two full. It’s the Red Sox one and the A’s nothing. And we’re back all set for the start of the inning. And now it’s the catcher for the Red Sox, Carlos Narvz. There’s a swing and a drive and no one can get there around first and hustling for second and he’s there with a leadoff double. Went up there looking to be aggressive and got something he could handle. Man, that feels so good to shoot an absolute bolt the opposite way. Split the gap and know that you’ve got extra bases right off the bat. That’s the kind of thing hitters dream about when they’re falling asleep at night. So, the batting order turns over now. Batting Jiren Duran, third baseman playing on the edge of the grass looking for the sack. Bunt bunt attempt, but that goes foul. Let’s go to baby. Let’s go. Swing and a miss and it’s 0 and two now. One missed that misses the zone. It’s two and two. Got him. Not what you’re looking for after the leadoff double. A strike out. And there’s one away. Oh, just a beautiful fast ball on the inside corner for that backwards K right there. I think the hitter saw it all the way coming from that opposite arm angle. So, I got to think he was looking away and just got locked up by the heart stuff boring in on his hands. And now it’s Alex Bregman. That’s out to center field on the move. Rings it in. Rounder tags at second and he’s up to third safely with two gone. [Applause] Now batting shortstop Trevor Story. Trevor Story comes up to the plate. He’s 0 for one. [Music] First pitch just misses. Two outs and one in scoring position. Let’s go to 1-1 now. Little chopper rolls foul. The shorts stop takes a ball. finish him. Pitch misses and it’s three and two. Nathaniel Low on deck for Boston. Runner at third. Two away. Strike him out. Story swings and crushes one deep left field and it one hops the wall and in its second with an RBI double. Puts a run on the board and picks up an RBI. This was a really nice swing. Didn’t quite get enough behind it to get it out of here, but once it got over his head in left field, it was extra bases all the way. Here’s Nathaniel Low. That one finds the zone. Strike one. The strategy of winning a ball game when you can make that pitcher work a little more, expose himself by throwing pitches. That can be the key to winning perhaps later on. So, good job of extending this inning, getting a knock with two outs to bring the number four hole hitter up. That one drilled left field. Sodestrom makes the catch and that is that. Red Sox with an RBI double. It’s now a two nothing ball game. Back after this on the show. Ready to go for the last half of the inning. The batter now, Zack Gellof. Zack Gellof. and he drops it down the third baseline and that’s just foul in the air center field. Raphaela makes the grab and there’s one down Max Schuman now at the plate. It’s interesting. He plays kind of a a power spot defensively, but runs pretty well. So, when you’re looking at that position, you’re not expecting someone that has maybe above average speed, but he does. And I think that skill set really upgrades the position because when you have that kind of speed, it makes the whole team that much better. swings through that one for strike two. What about him playing another position on defense, one that would require a little more range? Absolutely. And I think if push came to shove where they had to make a a move during a game, surprise a lot of people. You might even be able to put him in center field. Red Sox leading it by two. up the middle dives and he can’t hang on. No throw and they don’t get the out. Now batting stepping in the long ball threat. Shay Langalers. This to third off balance feed. There’s one to first. Not in time. Great effort there. Well, he’s doing a nice job of keeping the ball out of the air. Lets the defense work behind him with another ground ball. Good execution. And now Brent Rooker, his home and away splits there. Let’s go, baby. Let’s go. Come on. That catches the outside corner. 0 and one. Red Sox by two. Off the plate inside. One and one. on the ground just there for a base hit. Coming home. He’ll score well. Back within one as he brings home the run. Pretty tough for the infielders to do anything with that one. He pulled it hard into the outfield and even when you keep it on the ground, it feels great when you hit a missile like that. And another big at bat coming up here looking for a way to get that tying run across with two outs. [Applause] So runner at second, two down. Next up for the A’s, Nick Curts grounded out his first time up. Got one close rule to ball and that’s ball one. Man on second. Two down. Check. Swing. Did he go? Yes, he did. [Applause] There’s a 1-1 late with the swing there. Definitely got the hitter conscious of the pitch inside. Really think the outer half is open. Two outs on the ground to third and that’s a fair ball coming home. He’ll score easily. Picks himself up an RBI. Just an awesome swing of the bat. Quick hands and just launched the baseball. 108 on the exit velocity. Man, that is coming off the bat pretty good. I know he’s feeling good about it. And next will be the cleanup hitter. Reached on an infield single his first time. There’s the strike. Ball game is still tied. They can get out of this inning with a tie game. And that one fouled off. spoils a two- strike pitch. And he’ll see another [Applause] And a swing and a miss. Down on strikes that ends the inning and they limit the damage. They get two and draw even again. Three innings complete. We are tied 2-2. And welcome back to the ballpark. Out of the fourth, here’s the second baseman, Romy Gonzalez. And a good fast ball to start him off. That’s strike one. Next offering is fouled back. Got him looking. That’s a strike out. Masataka Yoshida up next for the Red Sox. Thinking about Yoshida, he’s never going to be the biggest player when he’s on the field, but that doesn’t mean he can’t hit. He gets on base and doesn’t strike out very often. That combo makes you a valuable asset to your club. [Applause] Check swing called strike. That’s foul off to the right side. Keeps the AB going. One out. Base is empty. Strike three. And that’s two in a row. Now that Son Raphaela getting ready to hit three pitch strikeout last time up. Got to put up more of a fight in this one on the ground to the left and foul ball. dives but it kicks off his glove and that extends the inning. Now batting right fielder Nick Sogar up next for the Red Sox. Caught looking his first time up. Headed towards the corner and that is a foul ball. Severino throws to first. Raphaela back on a dive. This is a great dynamic right here. Speedy runner at first, thinking about taking second. Catcher with the pop time that leaves Jaws on the floor. This might get interesting. Boo. The Athletics have some bullpen action. Mason Barnett appears to be getting loose. Basso, a left-hander, also throwing with a go-ahead run at first. Top half of inning number four. Breaking ball misses down and away. One ball, two strikes. Bows that off to the left and will do it again. Here’s a one-two. gets a piece and stays alive. Raphaela off of first with two away. Battling here as he fouls it away. Well, he’s having a tough time getting a pitch by him. As a hitter, you feel pretty confident that you’re seeing different pitches still able to make some type of contact. And now two and two. Really good take especially with two strikes and down on strikes. Picks up strikeout number seven. One left for the Red Sox and this game is still tied at two and two. Welcome back. And they turn to a new arm as we kick off the bottom of the fourth. Zack Kelly. And one thing on him, he’s been really good this season at keeping the ball in the park. Not an easy guy to take deep. Jacob Wilson digs in now. Wilson, a guy who’s really opened up some eyes in his first major league season, hoping to finish strong in September, too. This one in the air. Gonzalez, he’s got it. And there’s one away now. batting left fielder Tyler Tyler Sodestro up next for the A’s. One for one with a single so far. This ball’s chopped on the ground. Gets it to first. And that quickly two away. Now batting the short stop, Daryl Hern. Now it’s the shortstop. Daryl Hernese. He was a strikeout victim his first time. Baby. That one finds the zone. That’s strike one. Meanwhile, activity in the bullpen. Brennan Bernardino, a lefty looks to be getting himself ready. A’s looking to put the go-ahehead run on base off the plate. Ball one. [Applause] Next one is off the play and it’s two and one. Two down on that one ripped. This one could be trouble. Around first, heading for two. And he’ll pull in there with a standup double. Couldn’t have timed it up any better than that. that pretty much split the zone down the middle and those are the ones where you got to make them pay. A chance now to take the lead and at this point in the game that could be a deciding run. So the go-ahehead run in scoring position. Gellof will hit next. Fly to center his first time. He’s 0 for one. There’s the strike. brings it in for the third out. The A’s strand one. Score remains deadlocked to 2-2. We’re back and there’s a new arm on the mound to start the fifth. Mason Barnett. This is his third time out this year. Number 63 Mason Barnes. Joe stepping in for Boston. Carlos Narvz doubled his first time. Pitch misses there. One and0. And that one’s going to get into the corner and it stays fair. And a potential go-ahead run stops at second base. Man, he just absolutely turned on that one. Ripped it down the line. Nice job of staying his mechanics. Jiren Durant up next for the Red Sox. One for two. Just missed. Runner at second. Nobody out. And a swing and a miss there. Man, he was really tardy on that fast ball. Great job of setting him up by throwing the curve ball. Add some velocity to it on the next pitch. Can’t catch up. Fun attempt. Popped up. Oh, a great flip to first and he beats it. Everyone’s safe. Well, singy. That was really nice looking. Able to get it down and in a good spot. And he makes it look easy. Bat angle was perfect. Barrel stayed above the hands. Could almost walk to first. And in this critical spot up steps Alex Bregman for two in this one. That’s off the inside corner. And that is ball one. Let’s go. Squirts away a little bit. Nice job behind the plate there. Narvz, the lead runner out at second. Durant at first with no outs. And another ball. Swinging a ball driven out to center. That’s going back. Back some more. gone and they lead it. It’s 52. He absolutely feasts on right-handed pitching and devours that one for a homer. And you can see that’s what he expects of himself at bat after at bat. He’s that confident. [Applause] took on the big part of the yard for that home run and just barely got it over the wall. I thought for a second he brought it back out there, too. He gave it a great effort, but you know, those plays are so tough to pull off and I’m sure he’d love to have another shot at it. Manager out of the dugout now and he will make a move to dip into the A’s bullpen. Mason Barnett won’t go any further. It’s a three-run game and we’ll be back to tell you about the new arm in a minute. Now pitching for the So a new pitcher on the mound for the A’s, Justin Sterner. Should be a good first matchup for him here. He’s been doing a great job against right-handed bats so far this season. They’ve had a lot of trouble squaring him up. Here’s Trevor Story and first offering is fouled off. Sterner, 28 years old, and he found his way onto the team after being claimed off waiverss. A short stop takes a ball. started after the one-two pitch. Appeal to first and that’s ruled a swing. It’s a strike out. Now batting Nathaniel Low up to hit. Not close with that one. Okay, that’s ball one. Still only one out here in the inning. And that misses. Now 2 and 0. and that one got a piece of him. Up next. So digging in, Romy Gonzalez. He’s already homerred in this game. [Music] And there’s the strike. Man at first, one away. Ripped to third and caught. It’s never fun going back to the dugout after hitting a line drive that finds a glove. But you will get some high fives. You know, when you make great contact, you feel like you’ve done everything right. But in this game of baseball, not everything is in your control. Yoshida in the box with two gone and takes a look at a called strike. This one smoked out to left and that is that. [Music] But the biggest swing of the inning comes right here. A threerun homer. It’s 52. You’re watching Major League Baseball on the show. Back now to start the bottom of the fifth and taking over on the mound, Chris Murphy. This southpaw has been really good against left-handed hitters. Chris Murphy. Here’s the third baseman, Max Schuman. The A’s in striking distance, but have some work to do. Boo. It starts with the laid-off man. Need a good at bat out of him right here. First pitch doesn’t find the zone. You know, these athletics doing a good job of simply getting the bat on the ball in this game. And the numbers back that up. The numbers tell us they’re averaging more than a hit. Oh, and a nice sliding stop. It’s there. And that’s a great play. We saw a few skills on display there for the out. Technique was great. Reaction time was there and the slide was smooth. Watching that play come together was really fun. And now the catcher comes up to him. Shay Langalers. Fast ball for a strike. Go and one. One down, base is empty. Just missed with that back door breaking ball. If he gets a swing and miss or called strike, 02 count instead. It’s 1-1. Look for him to go back to that pitch later in this at bat. Next one misses and it’s two and one. Swang at a high-fly ball well struck way back there and that one’s gone. Home run number 30 on the year and they’re chipping away. It’s 53. [Applause] All right, let’s go. His bat looks like it’s in the zone for such a long time and that gives him the ability to get barrel on it and hit the ball out to any part of the park. Next up for the A’s, Brent Rooker. Rooker tries to hold up appeal to first and he went around. Rule the swing. and a foul ball. Next offering upstairs. Pretty standard high O2 fast ball right there. If you’re smart, go look for something down in the zone, but not too far. Don’t want to chase that breaking ball in the dirt. swing and a miss and he’s down on strikes. Two away now. Oh, when you commit to throwing an inside fast ball to your glove side across the strike zone, especially with two strikes, if you’re going to miss, you want to miss off the plate in. You do not want to leave it out over the heart of the plate. So, that was excellent execution on that pitch. Really tied him up and he couldn’t get a piece at all. So, two down now and here is Nick Curts and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter. Two outs. Fought off foul. Swang and a line drive ripped out into right center. That’s a base hit. Makes the turn and heads for second. The throw in. Not in time. He’s got a double. Having a really nice game here. That’s his second extra base hit. Pretty much just a textbook double into the gap. And when you can drop one in there between the outfielders, you know you’re making the turn at first. Just an excellent swing. Now a huge at bat in this game coming up. And now the center fielder and a first pitch fast ball is in for a strike. tying run at the plate. Swing and a miss. And he was fooled. He finds himself in a tough situation early. Just got to try to simplify it. Take a knock the other way if you can. And that one moves his feet. Swang and a ball lifted in the air. Makes the grab and that ends the inning. A’s get one back on this solo blast. It’s now 53. It’s Major League Baseball and it’s on the show. We’re back and they make a change to start the six. The new pitcher, Scott McGuff. pretty tight game. So, they’re looking for quality pitches out of him right here. Got to do his best to keep the score right where it is. Here’s the center fielder, Son Raphael. He’s someone that you might not describe as having elite level speed, but he can absolutely move and it is a factor in his game. That one misses. Ball one. Boo. This guy’s definitely a plus runner, but what I love about him is that he goes all out every single time. Never takes a break. It’s guys like that, even though they don’t have the elite speed, the fact that they’re consistent with it, they make moves on the base paths. The one-1 is upstairs. And that’s ball two. hit hard to the ground and up the middle. Base hit and the leadoff man aboard. Now batting right fielder Nick. Now it’s the right fielder Nick Soggard who’s 0 for two with a pair of strikeouts. Swing and a miss. Strike one. He might want to steal second in this spot, but he’s dealing with a catcher that has one of the best pop times in the game. He needs to pick his spot very wisely. Swing and a highf fly ball out towards right center field. Settles under this one. Puts it away for the out. Now batting catcher Carlos Narvz. So a man aboard Carlos Narvz up next for the Red Sox. Move to first. just missed. Raphaela stands at first with one out. Top of the zone for a strike and the count one and one. The one-1 is fouled off. started to swing. Held up. And the slider just misses. So, here we go. Base runner at first could be running on the pitch. He’s got good enough speed to steal the bag to get in scoring position, even if it’s a swing and miss at the plate. Goes down looking. Boo. He was shopping at the buckle right there. The way that slider made him look, that was just nasty. So now here’s the DH Jiren Durant. [Applause] And first offering is fouled off and ball one. Two outs. There’s a swing and a miss. He’s been able to go inside as well as outside. Effectively working both sides of the plate in this at bat. Hard grounder into the outfield for a knock. They stop the lead runner at second. Now two on with two outs. Now batting third base Alex Bregman. Now it’s Alex Bregman. certainly a factor in this one thanks to his three-run blast back in the fifth. Well, definitely one of the most impactful swings of the game. A big reason why they’re working with the lead and looking to add to it right here. Boo. That misses ball one. Two on, two outs. Swing it a miss. And it’s one and one. And that’s too high. Good spot for the hitter. definitely has the advantage in this count with runners on. Look for him to be aggressive on this next pitch. Way inside. Gets out of the way. Two outs. Couple of base runners at first and second. That’s ripped. And this one could be extra bases. Rounds third. Headed for the plate. One run across. Headed for the plate. He’ll score. Two runs are in. Love how he let that ball travel. Trusted his hands. Nice job of going the other way. manager out of the dugout now and he will make a move to dip into the A’s bullpen. Scott McGuff will depart and he’s responsible for the runner on second so the book isn’t closed on him yet. We’ll be right back. They hand the ball over to a new arm, Elvis Alvarado. Well, he’s a big time strikeout guy out there this season averaging more than one per inning. Here’s Story now. The shorts stop takes a ball. One, no strike. Runner at second. Two down. Misses off the plate. Two balls, no strikes. That two seam fast ball is usually coupled with a slider away. And when a hitter’s conscious of the pitch in, it’s hard for him to cover middle away. And that’s where a pitcher can really finish off that batter. And it is two and one. Back-to-back fast balls in. That last one called for a strike. Probably go away, but look for him to come back in there to try to finish you off. Top of the zone. And it’s called a strike. And a swing and a miss. And that’s that. But they’ll pick up a couple runs here. Both coming on this two-run double. It’s now 73. You’re watching Major League Baseball on the show. Back now for the bottom of the sixth. And there’s a new pitcher on the mound, Greg Weisser. And he’s got a nice lead to work with so he should come in throwing strikes, attacking these hitters. Now the A’s designated hitter, Jacob Wilson. Chris, baseball today, so many strikeouts and they are available to pitchers. But this is a guy that puts the bat on the ball and is kind of different from the players that we see day in day out. That one inside and it’s one and0. Yeah, his swing is so good. It’s in the zone a long time. He gets the barrel to it a lot and that produces more base hits. [Applause] Ground ball left side. Bregman zips it to first. One away. Bottom of the six. Now batting left fielder Tyler. Tyler Soderstroke. Up next for the A’s. Taken high in the draft. He’s had that top prospect label over him since he put on a professional uniform. But at some point that starts to go away and you’ve got to produce at the big league level. First pitch and he just misses. Action in the pen down there. Justin Wilson up and throwing. Bernardino also getting ready. The 10. There’s the strike. 95 of that one. You got this. One down. Base is empty. That just misses. And it’s two and two. And it goes just foul. That wasn’t an easy pitch to hit. It’s much easier to do damage against mistakes, but that’s not what that pitch was. Goes down swinging for the strike out. And they’re down to their last out. Now Daryl Hern for the A’s. Sarah Hern foul out of play off to the right. And that one is inside. swinging a foul straight back. One strike away. To first and this should do it. Steps on the bag himself. Ball game. Sometimes road trips can be tough. if you’re away from your family. But when you can win, silence that opposing crowd, it makes things just a little bit better. Makes the road trip just a little bit shorter. 73 is how this one ends. Boston picks up a huge win on the road.
