I took this photo of Cal Raleigh near the beginning of the season and said “damn this guy is an absolute unit.” He was a rising star, and now he’s one of the biggest conversations in baseball. Does he deserve the MVP over Judge? My opinion is no based on batting average alone.

I still think Judge wins MVP. He just has Cal beat in every important batting statistic except HRs and even his fielding was pretty solid before he got hurt.
Nothing should be taken away from Big Dumper though. He had a phenomenal season and made history as a switch-hitting catcher.
No
Cal is a very good player. He isn’t an MVP though
Having a great year but I think Judge is MVP again.
If Seattle can overtake Houston and win the division, I’d say it’s possible.
Zero chance he won’t get 10% of the 1st place votes
no, it’s still judge
Judge IS the MVP, but the way the season is finishing, I would not be surprised if Raleigh wins. Voters sometimes have short memories and Judge’s inability to throw the ball will be fresh in their minds.
Who else ?
The league MVP on a team that might not even get a wild card spot? lol
I think he’s deserving but this may be an unpopular opinion but it’s hard to see an MVP bat .240. I know BA isn’t the end all stat but it just doesn’t feel right. Maybe it’s because I grew up on guys like Tony Gwynn and expect a ‘good’ hitter to bat closer to .300. I know, times have changed. Just an observation when it comes to the MVP chatter.
I mean catcher vs cf is not even arguable in its importance on the field. But I still doubt he wins MVP. Would be awesome though. If you’ve watched the Mariners this year you know how good CAL is on defense and offense.
