  1. The pitching of Abreu and Valdez have sucked all the life out of the offense. They are both scared and a mental mess. Our two best have turned into our worst nightmare. Dang this is why we dumped Montero and Pressly only to replace them in house. I can't pull for them or watch this anymore.

  2. Gotta agree with you Michael. If by some absolute miracle they make the playoffs/wildcard, it will just be a repeat of Astros/Tigers last year. All they will be is cannon fodder also-rans.

And looking back, seems the trigger for this meltdown was when Parades got hurt. It's been downhill from there.

  3. Third place. Astros will finish in third place. Both Rangers and Mariners finish ahead. I think mariners win West cause they have easiest schedule. Rangers get wild card. Astros go on vacation. Bet on it!

  4. The crappy pitching issue is at least manageable if this coach had any feel for the game. The pitchers seem to rotate which one will be "off" each night. The coach could detect which one it is and pull them BEFORE the damage is done – yet he opts to leave them in until they give up the runs and the damage is done. Some of the blown games could have been salvaged/saved had he pulled them when it was clear they were off. But the hitting…or lack of hitting. Who knows. It's past time to demote some of the temporary veteran help to Sugarland and bring up some of the youth. I'd rather watch them grow into the team than watch these veterans who aren't even the future of this team hit once every 30 at bats and are mostly easy outs. Christian Walker should be gone and Diaz as well. His throws to second are as likely to go into center field than be caught by anyone in the infield. And you DH Diaz the other night?!? Really?!? That alone is grounds for reviewing the coach and his decisions.

  5. I couldn't agree more, i was at that game last night. This team is not a playoff team this year. Christian Walker is the worst clutch hitter ever, he can't come up with a hit with RISP if his life depended on it

  6. I love my 'Stros, but I think next year could be our year. If everyone comes in healthy, and we could even add some bullpen aces and an ACE to REplACE Framber, plus, Blubaugh looks really good. LMJ has ZERO COMMAND. Love the guy, but he's too scared to throw a fastball to setup all that secondary movement. Kimbrell could get adjusted and regain command.

  7. Think about this healthy lineup:
    1. Pena
    2. Correa
    3. Yordan (REMEMBER RBI?)
    4. Paredes (2 30+ HR guys in RBI positions)
    5. Walker
    6. Cam
    7. Yainer/Carrot Tini/ Caesar Salad Czar.
    8. Altuve.
    9. Meyers (high obp. A double leadoff guy.) Or Sanchez. Sanchez has some pop.

    That is a decent lineup

  8. Boring. This team is boring. They are a bore to watch. And the players look bored playing. They seem disinterested in playing the game. I'd love to see them turn it on somehow, but I have zero confidence. I have no confidence in the players, and I have negative confidence in the coaching staff.
