San Jose Sharks Captain’s Skate: Michael Misa & Top Prospects Hit the Ice!

The San Jose Sharks have returned and excitement is in the air. On Monday, players, prospects, and members of the Barracuda took to the ice at Sharks Ice and TechCU Arena for a spirited practice session. This gathering featured a more NHL focused group, showcasing the latest additions to the Sharks roster, complete with their new jersey numbers. Among the forwards participating were notable names such as Igor Afanosv 11, Mellan Celibbrini, Ty Delandria 10, William Ecklund, Adam Gaudet, 81, Barkley Goodro, Colin Graph, Carl Grundstrom, Michael Misa, 77, Ryan Reeves, 75, Jeff Skinner, 53, Will Smith, Tyler Tofoley, and Alex Wenberg. Additionally, Dmitri Orlov was paired with John Clingberg in teal and Nick Ley was seen alongside Vincent Dehernne in white. One particularly exciting aspect of the day was the presence of Michael Misa who skated in teal alongside the NHL veterans since being selected as the second overall pick in the 2025 draft. Both Misa and general manager Mike Greer have made it clear that the 18-year-old will be given a genuine opportunity to prove himself at the highest level of hockey. It’s also encouraging to see William Ecklund and Shakir Mukamadulan back on the ice, especially after both players have faced significant injuries. Their participation in scrimmages without any visible limitations is a positive sign for their recovery and future contributions to the
