“Dodgers, Padres are slogging. Does anyone want to win the NL West?” Uh… 🙋‍♂️

  1. We didn’t really want to win it in July but we changed our minds, and I for one am ok with the flip flop

  2. That’s just a terrible headline for an article in which the surging Giants aren’t even mentioned. Clearly there are more than two teams in the NL West. The story is about the Deathstar and the Dads struggling recently, without bothering to mention even once that the third-place team is rapidly gaining on them? C’mon. “Anyone” implies at least three teams are involved, otherwise the headline would be more accurate with “either.”

  3. If the Padres don’t make the playoffs its a disaster with how they traded the farm for pieces they didnt need to go after except for Fermin. If the Dodgers somehow don’t win the division its a disaster because they were supposed to coast into the world series. I’m legit scared if the Dodgers get bounced in the wild card they’ll go out and try to get every top free agent and arms out there.

  4. The comments on that article lol. Is it likely? Hell no, is it possible and something that Padres and Dodgers fans shouldn’t shrug off? Yes. Those comments, they’re acting like the Giants can’t mathematically catch them. The disrespect is very real.

  5. Reminds me a bit of 1986, where all SF had to do was sweep their remaining games against the Astros to have a real shot at the NL West crown. Instead, that baseball-scuffing devilskin Mike Scott no-hit our beloved Giants.

Reminder that the margin of error is basically nil at this point. But also that: it’s baseball, and crazier things have happened, than the Giants going 7-0 against the Dodgers down the stretch. A September to remember?

  6. Was looking at the schedules with a friend.

    16 games left Dodgers play:
    Colorado 1 time
    giants 7 times
    Phillies 3 times
    Arizona 3 times
    Seattle 3 times
