Well, this weekl long home stand so far has been excellent for the Mariners trying to put the finishing touches on this threeame series. A chance for a clean sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals tonight from inside T-Mobile Park. Well, you never exactly know how momentum in this game is going to work. The old adage is momentum is your next day’s starting pitcher time and it took him all the way to a world championship. Oh, this ball is absolutely smoked. And the Cardinals strike first to the back of the bullpen. Herrera has been a good hitter for the Cardinals this year and he socks that one out of here. It’s one- nothing St. Lewis [Applause] fast ball when he needs it. Well, that one was pretty filthy. Back foot slider. Burlson swings over the top. There’s the first punch out tonight from Gilbert. So, two outs. Base is empty for Contras. Clean up hitting first baseman. He sends this high in the air out to left center field. playable as the Rosarena gets underneath it to retire the side. Herrera the home run. Cardinals the early lead are involved in it. [Applause] Church speeding up a little bit and he wow makes the catch. Cardinals have had some really nice center field play in this series whether it’s high fast ball. Julio goes down swinging and McGrevy retires the side in order. [Music] right back where it came from into center field and the Cardinals have them loaded up. A walk and backto-back singles long at that and PZ he got him chasing the fast ball off the plate. A much needed first out here in the second inning. Oh, and he got him. A devastating splitter exactly where Gilbert wanted it. There is out number two. Back-to- back strikeouts with the bases loaded. Where does he go with this pitch? The two- two swing and a miss. The split finger disappears. Logan Gilbert strands the base is loaded and gets out of a jam in the second inning. Slow ground ball off the right side for mean. What away. And this team has given them something to really be satisfied with right here. out towards the alleyway, left center field. Burlson makes the catch. And this has been a little bit of a sacrifice fly series at time for the Mariners. They have tied the game up. Kzone a sack fly to left. I tell you what, this ball is caught. Comes back and makes for a little bit of an easier catch for Gorman right near the netting. This game Punt dropped down. Gino gathers. The Cardinals have him second and third now. Swag and a miss. He dials it up. He gets the splitter and a huge strike out. Show dog. She was absolutely gorgeous. This ball is on the line and fair. Extra bases to Jay-Z is into second. Cardinals have the go-ahehead run in scoring position to begin the sixth inning. Ground ball. Gino extends his arm and he takes it away for out number three. Wow, that was a rocket and caught for me. That ball was 115 miles an hour. Another 3-2. He struck him out. Gabe Spire going right after him with the gas to strike. Got a run to it. Fly ball driven left field. Oh, the catch is made by Burlson. He was able to get just enough glove in the air and take the hit away from Canzone. Yeah, looks like he’s Burles rolled over. Crawford charges this on the run. Little throw and Naylor with a little Olay. He gets the out. Fantastic play by Naylor to pick this one here. Oh, he just kind of spiked his toe, didn’t he? Yeah, it looked like Sugi was trying to avoid collision with N. Another ground ball. Crawford circles around it. gets the grip and the stretch from Naylor Ferguson. Three up and three down. Keep chopping off the bag and it works for the Mariners. They’re racing after it. It’s Cal Rawlings into third and Julio. It’s been that kind of a ride for Julio Rodriguez recently. The bags pack two outs. A swinging bunt picked up Pahz and Contraras is able to handle it at first base. Making his second appearance in a Mariners’s uniform and Crawford picks himself up. High throw. Naylor stays anchored for out number one. Hit hard. Gino stays with it. A rocket. All kinds of time. Two outs. is one, two. He tied him up like a pretzel. A scoreless night. Now Romero, tough stuff. He has struck out the first two. Two up and two down. Boy, every time you miss receive a ball, it hurts. This game is going to the 10th inning. Popped up for me. Makes the one-handed catch. 3-2 Roace is there and a leap and make the catch. Julio charging this. He makes the catch. What is going on with Herrera? He has been a zoo. And the Mariners cash in on the double play to end the top of the 10th inning. [Applause] Contrarus is practically shaking hands with a young as this is popped up and caught. Not executed. Gorman makes the catch towards Pahes. He goes down on three pitches. Curveball strikes out. Julio. Two outs. The two- two and he strikes out. Wow. What a homecoming for Seattle’s own Riley O’Brien. He leaves him loaded. Ground ball and it’s past Crawford. The Cardinals take the lead. That was hot off the bat of SJZ. It’s 2-1 St. Louis. One out. Rudder at second. Two-2. Got him. Two down. Ground ball and Gino able to tackle it. Wow, that was an absolute cannon from AU Haley Suarez line. That ball is fair into the corner. This game is tied in the bottom of the 11th inning. Jorge Palanco, he delivers the O2. Ground ball. Contraras coming home. They get the out there. Crawford safe at first. Broken back grounder. O’Brien comes home. The throw and Young is out at first base. Riley O’Brien. Broken bat loop and Crawford plays it on one bounce. Has to hurry and he’s able to get it there despite the great speed of Scott. Chop off the plate. Naylor charges and Hancock tackles it and applies the tag. Emerson Hancock with a one-two coming to Julio. Two outs on a 3-1 center field. Scott has taken over out there. Ground ball Hancock and now only play over to first base. Well, Emerson Hancock nice. Yes. Julio drifting to his left. Well, Emerson Hancock, you have spun a couple of phenomenal innings.
