#cincinnatireds GRIT Out a Series Win Over the #sandiegopadres

Grit. That is the word. Four letters that the Cincinnati Reds put on full display on Wednesday night to get the series dub over the Padres’s in San Diego. Something they haven’t done in a very long time. It was all about the gritty pitching performance from Andrew Abbott where he gave the Reds eight innings on a day that the bullpen you really weren’t sure who you were going to get because everybody’s been so overused here recently. Tony Santon comes into the ninth inning, allows a leadoff double, and he grits his way to a save and the Reds win two to one thanks to a gritty eighth inning performance by this lineup. You had TJ Fredel getting on base. Ellie Dela Cruz bringing them in, able to score. Oh, that inning was so phenomenal, but it was Miguel Andyhar that gave the gritty pinch hit performance that brought in the go-ahad run. I I I cannot say enough about the grit of this team from the San Diego series because this is not something we’ve seen on a regular basis, but it’s coming through at their best time. The Reds are now two games out of the wild card.

  1. Every time the past few weeks I thought this Reds team were done for the season when they had lost games, series, but I give them credit to comeback to win two big series back to back vs two teams involved in the wildcard race in the Mets, Padres. They got to win more games, series to overcome the Giants, Mets to try to obtain that last wildcard spot which won't be easy with 16 games to go, but at least they're battling there. Go Reds!

  2. It ain’t pretty but SF has a very difficult road to the post season, SD has a difficult path the the post season but the mets remaining season didn’t look too bad I kinda think they will make it
