ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER WALK-OFF for the Orioles! 😱🔥
[Applause] It’ll be an eighth pitch to the rookie Dylan Beavers in his 20th major league game. Ground ball fire. The Orioles do it again. They don’t always win games, but when they do, they prefer walk-offs. Beavers first career walk-off ribby. Four straight wins via walk-off for the O’s. And what a wonderful at bat that was. So much composure. He gets a pitch to hit and he does not miss. You love to see that Statcast broadcast. 2 and 0, baby. The first time in the history of the Orioles they have walked off the opponent in four consecutive wins [Applause] and it’s been three rookies in these four games. Basio. Basio again. And now Dylan Beavers, who has had one of the slowest heartbeats imaginable, had his first big league run. Well, Alex, we mentioned early in the game, he had not gotten a hit off of 98 or above. The pitch before was 98. I don’t know for sure what that was. 97. And so here’s the thing. You kind of say, well, can he hit the high velocity? Not only did he hit it, he hammers it down the first baseline. Absolutely. And he also took 97 off the wall in right center. I mean, the kid has shown some serious ability to do a lot of different things. And wow, what a fun game to be a part of. Just every day steps forward for him. Yeah, it was 97.9, but coming into the game, you only had one or two hits off that kind of velocity. What a wonderful step forward for him. Santa’s happy, and we’re happy here in the more cold in the stockings of the Pirates bullpen. The Orioles have beaten the Pirates for a seventh straight series at Camden Yards. They’ve never lost a series to him here. And that’s down and in at 98. And Dylan Beavers turned on for the game winner. So it is 98. We can’t end on a better Stackcast note. We’re begging for a 98 mph knock from Dylan Beavers. And look at the hand speed. I mean, the quickness to the ball. We talk about how short his swing is and how how deep he lets the ball travel, but uh this is exciting. I mean, these guys are having fun. The Orioles are playing great baseball. Their pitching has been phenomenal. They came in with the lowest ERA in September in all of Major League Baseball. Did nothing but make that even better here tonight. Tyler Wells was phenomenal. and Dylan Bevers with his first major league walk-off after being mobbed somewhere in
