That’s a called third strike over the inside corner at the top of the zone. It is the sixth backward K for Hunter Brown tonight. That was just nasty pitch right there. [Music] Well, every night I’m looking for a player who makes an impact in the game and tonight’s impact player is Hunter Brown. Hunter, I know you’ve pitched against Jacob Deg Grom before and you have reached the elite level and people have to pitch against you. How does tonight rank for you as far as a game that maybe it was a grind, but you gave up zero runs. How has your maturation taken you so far this season? Yeah, first uh thanks for having me and yeah, you know, obviously coming in today. Uh you know, they got the best of us the last time, uh us two faced off, so definitely a little bit of uh you know, remembering that trying to come out and and set the tone. But um you know, like you said, obviously when you when you have experience and and and you start to mature a little bit, you know, you know when it’s time to, you know, maybe maybe dig in a little deeper. Um you know, ran into a tough second inning there, but you know, just have to have to do your best to pitch your way out of it. Um and and and tonight I was able to to make some pitches there and and get out of that jam. Well, your team has been through a lot. A lot of injuries, a lot of starters went down. You’re starting to get healthy again, but for you personally as you navigate now another full season, what’s been the biggest learning lesson for you in this uh progression in your career? Yeah, you know, obviously, uh, you look to make anywhere from 30 to 35 starts, and, you know, you can feel great for the first five, but, you know, you’re trying to you’re trying to set yourself up for the last last 10 and into October. So, um, you know, for me, just just try to do my best to, you know, maybe not overdo it in in between starts. Uh, you know, get my work in the bullpen and and throwing program that I need, but, you know, I don’t need to to overdo it. So, that’s kind of, I think, helped me stayed fresh here. But, you know, as innings pile on that that you can maybe save some earlier in the year for right now. Well, you’re in the Sai Young conversation.
