The Astros and the Blue Jays play the middle game of a three game series Astros losing a tough one last night in extra innings. 4 to 3. They are still maintaining their spot in first place in the A L West, but things are tightening up with the Rangers winning again. Earlier today, they’re just two games back and the Mariners said a game back they play later on tonight. A big one for JoseBerríos. Berríos. He’s on seven days rest, three extra days of rest coming off a tough outing against Cincinnati in which he lasted only two innings. John Schneider though has been steadfast in saying they still believe in him. They have faith in him. He chops one to the left side. Ernie Clement it short again tonight and Mars retires the first batter he faces, here’s Jordan Alvarez, four consecutive hits in five, actually, four of his last five at bats. He grounded out his last at bat last night. So Jordan had three straight hits last night having himself a nice series here already. Had an RB I double last night in Abreu on the mound for the Astros for a second straight night. Here’s the guy that tied the game against him last night, Isaiah called third strike. He comes back and gets the save tonight. The Astros get a much needed win. Jer Diaz is the hero in this one for the Astros.
