Kelvin Banks was rated as the best LT during the preseason, according to PFF

Sadly, Trevor Penning has dealt with lots of injuries recently, however he's solid when healthy

Erik McCoy is a consensus top 10 C, with PFF ranking him as the 4th best center in the league

Cesar Ruiz is a decent pass blocker but lacks solid run blocking

Taliese Fuaga is didn't look extremely good, but he's just now on his second season and he appears to be a pretty solid right tackle.

  1. If our freaking guys could stay healthy they could definitely be a top 10 unit. Ruiz and Penning are our biggest liabilities here

  2. Ruiz and Fuaga were trash week 1. We’ll see if they get better, but I don’t have high expectations.

  3. Fuaga was crap last week. He was getting beat or starting late on every play. Idk what was going on with him. Hopefully he pulls it together this week.

  4. Healthy we top 15 for sure. I’ll even say top 12. Ruiz the weakest link and at the end of the day he’s a for sure starter on some team

  5. They should be given the amount of draft capital the team’s spent on them……..but they aren’t. They aren’t even in top two the NFC South. After being with two different staffs and in two different blocking schemes they still have the same exact issues – constant injuries and underachieving. Time to accept the fact that the players they’ve chosen just aren’t very good or always injured. There’s is the dream they miraculously all get healthy and “gel” to match what they’ve spent on them…….

  6. An O-line is as good as its weakest link, so any line with Ruiz in it is NOT top-5. Nor is it top-16.

And frankly, we all WANT Penning to be good at Guard, but we will still be holding our breath every play. There will be some pancakes, and some whiffs.
