Houston Astros vs Toronto Blue Jays – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 11, 2025 MLB Season
Got him. What a good start. Started with the fast ball was above his season average. Fly ball to left. Davis Schneider dealing with some shadows out there. Makes the catch out and left. Two down. Is top five among qualified pitchers in the American League in first strike percentage. And he got him. Had to wait a while for Jeremy React. Bigger sample size. They’re hitting just 158. A tapper barehanded by Javier and safe at first as Walker could not glove it. And Springer is aboard. It’s been a couple of pretty quiet days for the Blue Jays offense. Lucas lines a ball to left field and it’s going to be over the head of Tal and up against the wall and George Springer’s getting the wave home and the Blue Jays have the early lead. Ground ball to first. Walker looked in the direction of Lucas but will take the sure out at first as Lucas comes to third. One down. popped up. Very shallow right field. Very shallow right field and it drops and there’s nobody at second base. Four Astros were in the area. Now Baro hits a fly ball to center. This is playable for Dubon who will make the catch and end the inning, but the Blue Jays get two. Go get it. Popped up for Guerrero into foul territory to make the play. One down. Swing and a miss. Got him with a split. Two down. Third strike out already. His relationships with the players very important. Davis Schneider hits a fly ball to deep left. Trel is back. It’s gone. [Music] Schneider getting an opportunity to start against a righty floor with that fast that Javier throws so often. Out at second is Jimenez. He took off on the first pitch and Altuve with a swipe tag. We might have gotten him on the foot or the leg. It looked like this is popped up on the infield. Alt battling the sun, but he’ll make the catch and the inning is over. Duban, a jack of all trades, has started at seven different positions. Diving stop at third by Barger. What a play off the end of the bat and that’ll be a base hit into right center for Guerrero. Ground ball to the left side and they’ll go the short way to force the lead runner and Guerrero. That will end the inning. Three nothing Blue Jays top four. And this one is lined into left for a base hit off the bat of Jeremy Pรฑena. That’s the first base runner of the afternoon for Houston. Popped up by Alvarez. Barger back makes the catch. That is a very big first out as Alvarez is retired. and he’ll line one into right for a base hit. Pay you thinking about it makes the turn and he will come to third who is 0 for one. Popped up in foul territory to Guerrero. He’s up there swinging and he pops another one up in foul territory again. It’s Vlatty and he’s got it. And boy, I’ll tell you what, as a player that makes you feel great. Rasho hooks one to right center. hit pretty well and it’s going to be between the outfielders and off the wall and Varo is thinking three and is in there ahead of the throw with a leadoff triple and he handles anything down now. Davis Schneider who homered his first time up sends a fly ball to left. Baro is tagging. The throw from Trel is cut and the sack fly makes it four nothing. in the postseason. He’s been a great playoff pitcher for them. Popped up for Pena. Two down. He’s not quite 100%. But he is running much better than he was a couple of weeks ago. Did get thrown out today. And he grounds out here to win the inning. Line to third. And what a play by Barger. his second great defensive play already here today because the offensive environment overall is not as great now as it was in 2019. Boy, Javier Guerrero first pitch swinging ground ball to short and Javier will retire the Blue Jays in order and probably into next week as well. Here’s a roller to short. Clement up with it and Dubon retired. So at the earliest buck maybe got him touching 98. The hardest pitch thrown today by Kevin Gosman. They’re not in first place without him. They got him off waiverss from the A’s. Boy, Javier challenging Clement. Threw him three straight fast balls which very few pitchers do and he strikes him out. Fast ball at 96 swung on and miss. Seven strikeouts now for Gossman. He might have had his dog days in kind of June July. Another strikeout. That’s four in a row and eight on the afternoon. Lance McCull’s Jr. into the game for the Astros. First pitch breaking ball hit very high in the air towards the left field corner and caught by Trel for out number one. That was the game. I think he threw like I don’t know 28 or 31 curve balls in a row. Hideamman sends one to shallow center and Duban will make the catch. But another guy who you go back a few years and now bounces it fair up the first baseline and McCullers has a quick bottom of the seventh and 20 of them have seen a first pitch strike. Ground ball to short. Ernie Clement, one down. I mean, he is putting on a pitching clinic today. He’s gotten some nice defensive plays behind him because he’s only thrown 17. Another first pitch strike. It’s a fly ball to right for Lucas. Out number two. Two out and two strikes on the batter. Got him. And look at how Trel dropped the bat as if to say, “I had no shot.” Nathan Lucas shoots one the other way for a base hit. And Springer up to second. McCull’s ahead 0 and two. And Guerrero lifts a high fly to center. Springer going back to tag. Duban will make the catch. And here comes George on his way to third. The throw into second. line drive to right field and it’s down. Sanchez could not make the catch. Got a piece of it to knock it down, but it falls to the turf. Springer in to score and it’s five to nothing. First pitch swinging, popped up back of the plate and it’s going to stay in the field of play and somehow Yiner Diaz makes the catch. Backpedaling like crazy and fortunate not to step on his helmet into left field. A base hit. Lucas around third on his way to the plate. It is six to nothing. Runners will be on the move. Bounce to third. The long throw is in time and Schneider is retired. A one hopper that staggers him in as back to his feet. He makes the play. Another terrific play. And we talked about it all day long. when a pitcher is pounding that strike zone. Ground ball to the left side, backhanded by Clement on first in time for out number two. Ground ball to the left side, backhanded by Clement on first in time for out number two against the Yankees. 107 is his season high. The 01 down to first. Guerrero’s got it. And Kevin Gosman just threw a two hit shut out here this afternoon. His second career shut out. His fourth career complete game and as good a performance as this team has had all season. Absolute dominance from the mound. And they got some early runs in the first two runs and from there he took it.

That pop up looked like a minor league game by Astros!
Great pitching and defense by Jays.
The electrician did it again…
Astros be professional! Show up to play. This was embarrassing. The outfield blunders are inexcusable.
yk what even tho we lost 3-2 last game, the blue jays are looking good. Every series they get 1-3 wins. This was a combined good game by the blue jays ๐๐โค
Holy smokes, a two-hit shutout and a complete game–how rare is that?
Solid pitching. He could have had a CP his last outing as well.
This ball park would be better without the ads behind home plate. Its the perfect spot for ads, I get it but it's annoying for me. They have them all over the entire stadium, would be nice to have something different behind the plate.
No Hoffman jays win. Hmmmmm
Gausman channelled a bit of Doc with this performance, a complete game shutout and just about 100 pitches.
Gausman is Him.
There's just too many guys to talk about ๐ฎ
All the Jays needed today was to step on the Gaus…awesome!
Some horrible defense by the Astros takes nothing away from Gausmanโs mastery today. Jays needed the win to keep the slightest bit of distance between them and fast approaching Yanks and Red Sox.
Even Vancouver is starting to like them.
What an absolute perfect performance. Offence regained its consistency (almost line making adjustments in the lineup can do that), I better not ever see Schneider on the bench again, and Gausman, perfection. Game 1 starter.
great to see springer having success later in his carreer.
Ok so no bullpen no problem ๐๐
It was really nice to see a game where Jeff "cough it up" Coffman didn't pinch a big turd on the mound today costing the Jays another win.
I wonder if having Scherzer and Bieber on the team has been good for him. Especially Scherzers experience and mentoring ?
Gausman and Barger stole the show…
Gausman Goosed em. Who needs a bullpen anyways? haha
This is the Gausman Toronto needs for the playoffs.
Playoff form
I just love you so much Bluejays
Absolute monstrous game by Gaus today wow
I love this team
Gausman said: I'm not letting Hoffman mess this one up too ๐ญ
Hoffman can't even get one shutout inning and here is Gausman throwing a complete game shutout.
Toronto bettr resign Gausman at any cost ๐ธ๐ต๐ฐ ! He's a real professional pitcher w/ nasty stuff that keeps hitters off balance and guessing ! ๐ฏ๐โพ๏ธ๐บ๐ฆ
This game did not show the Astros team I love to hate (Mariner's fan). They have always looked sharp, focused and determined. This team looked dispirited and undisciplined. And this is not to take anything away from Gausman and the Blue Jays. Clearly the better team out there today.
game 1 starter
WOW!!! A man against boys.
What about Hoffman though
Big win by the Jays! My concern is so called "CLOSER" Hoffman? WTF! This guy is a disaster, in big moments. Schneider needs to start thinking differently, and give the next Bull Pen pitcher with "CLOSER" potential, the opportunity? Send Hoffman to Buffalo. Does not deserve, to be in the "BIG LEAGUES."
That was a masterclass by Gausman today. David Wells would be proud.
Gausman in top form!
Gausman was on!~
Christian Walker, the RF & LF are not just a sham like baseball players the also are a shame to every spectator I donโt who came up with the brilliant idea of bring these clase C players to H-town just to fill up a position come thatโs HS!!
PS: Manager also needs to be fired.
