MLB Highlights | Astros vs. Blue Jays – September 11, 2025
Got him. What a good start. Started with the fast ball. Was above his season average. Fly ball to left. Davis Schneider dealing with some shadows out there. Makes the catch out and left. Two down. His top five among qualified pitchers in the American League in first strike percentage. And he got him. had to wait a while for Jeremy React. It’s been a couple of pretty quiet days for the Blue Jays offense. Lucas lines a ball to left field and it’s going to be over the head of Tal and up against the wall and George Springer’s getting the wave home and the Blue Jays have the early lead. Ground ball to first. Walker looked in the direction of Lucas but will take the Shure out at first as Lucas comes to third. One down. Popped up. Very shallow right field. Very shallow right field. And it drops. And there’s nobody at second base. Four Astros were in the area. Clement with a high drive to deep left field but caught on the track. Now Baro hits a fly ball to center. This is playable for Duban who will make the catch and end the inning, but the Blue Jays get two. Swing and a miss. Got him with a split. Two down. Third strike out already. His relationships with the players very important. Davis Schneider hits a fly ball to deep left. Trel is back. It’s gone. Throw him in there against everybody. There are certain types of pitchers they don’t feel uh that he is best suited for, but he got on top of that one. Well, he sure did. And that’s the pitch that gave him so many problems early in this season, but he has made the adjustment. Who’s had to earn every single thing he’s ever gotten. Good change up there. And Heinman strikes out. Float with that fast ball that Javier throws. so often. Out at second is Jimenez. He took off on the first pitch and Altuve with a swipe tag. Might have gotten him on the foot or the leg. It looked like Jimenez was kind of getting in there and the throw was a little bit to the right field side of the bag, but no challenge. So, Dubon, a jack of all trades, has started at seven different positions. Diving stop in third by Barger. What a play. swung on and missed. Got him to chase a change. Out number two. Got him. 96 mph fast ball to strike out Sanchez. And boy, I’ll tell you what, as a player, that makes you feel great. Rasho hooks one to right center. Hit pretty well. And it’s going to be between the outfielders and off the wall. And Varo is thinking three and is in there ahead of the throw with a leadoff triple and he handles anything down now. Davis Schneider who homered his first time up sends a fly ball to left. Vo is tagging. The throw from Trel is cut and the sack fly makes it four nothing. Line to third and what a play by Barger. his second great defensive play already here today. Yeah, the defense has really been on their toes and it helps that the pitchers throwing so many strikes, the highest of his entire career because the offensive environment overall is not as great now as it was in 2019. Boy, Javier got a very atypical swing out of Springer. And a good back door breaking ball there from Javier to get him. Two down. Got him. Touching 98. The hardest pitch thrown today by Kevin Gosman. And that will put the opposing lineup really in a tough spot. Javier gets Vo. Two out and two strikes on the batter. And look at how Trel dropped the bat as if to say I had no shot. line drive to right field and it’s down. Sanchez could not make the catch. Got a piece of it to knock it down, but it falls to the turf. Springer in to score and it’s five to nothing in the fourth. Into left field, a base hit. Lucas around third on his way to the plate. It is six to nothing. a one hopper that staggers him in as back to his feet he makes the play. Another terrific play and we talk about it all day long when a pitcher is pounding that strikes on the defense anticipates getting a ball in play. The one down to first. Guerrero’s got it and Kevin Gman just threw a two hit shutout here this afternoon. [Music] Hey, hey, [Music]
The Toronto Blue Jays walloped the Houston Astros 6-0 to claim a victory in their series rubber match. Kevin Gausman was stellar in the win, pitching a 2-hit complete game shutout.

That's one way to win: ensure that there are no relievers.
Blue๐ฆ๐ฆ Jays get the no hitter perfect โพpitching mixed with a strong outfield ๐จ๐ฆ๐๐จ๐ฆ
One way to leave the bullpen out of the equation ๐
