What is going on guys? Brad here for pits.com and I got a pick in this Rocky’s first Padres’s game going down on Friday, September 12th, 2025. We got the Colorado Rockies and the Padres’s going at it. This will be game two of the series. These team these teams do play a game on Thursday evening. I’m recording this Thursday afternoon, so I don’t know what the result of that game will be. But man, two teams that are just kind of tough to bet on right now. I mean, when you look at the Padres’s, obviously they are the better team than the Rockies. There’s no question about it. But this is a team that’s three and seven straight up in their last 10. We actually we actually saw them go into u Kors Field September 5th through September 7th for a three-game series and they actually lost game one of that series. Um we saw them play a series against the Reds this week and yeah they won game one but then they proceeded to lose game two and game three. So it’s just a Pottery team that’s just not playing good down the stretch. They’ve really struggled to hit the ball. Their pitching staff has kind of let them down in certain spots as well. So, it’s like, yeah, you see this matchup and immediately you’re like, “Oh, let’s just find a way to take the Padres’s, but I mean, if you’ve been doing that as of late, it just really hasn’t been working out.” So, like I said, tough game, not my favorite game to play. And I guess we could talk about the Rockies. Rockies are two and eight straight up in their last 10. So, I mean, the Pers are only one game better than the Rockies in their last 10. Um, which kind of tells you what you need to know there. The pitching matchup, Tanner Gordon takes him out for the Rockies. He has been horrific. And then Dylan CE takes him out for the Padres’s. You may look at Tanner Gordon’s numbers, see his inflated ERA, and be like, “Oh, well, he pitches most of his starts at Coors Field. That’s the reason why his ERA is so bad.” But no, you got to dig into it a little more. He actually is way worse on the road than at home this season. His own home era is a five a 540 RA, which is honestly pretty average if when we’re talking Field. But when he goes on his on the road, his RA jumps to a 933. really really bad. I mean, fortunately for him, he is playing at Petco Park. Um, definitely a pitcher friendly ballpark, but man, um, Tanner Gordon is a tough guy to back right now. On the other hand, you do got Dylan Cece on the mound for the Padres’s. I mean, he’s been giving up runs left and right as well in his last five starts. He has a 596 RA. Really haven’t we really haven’t seen the the vintage Dylan Ces at all this season, really. I mean, if you look at all his numbers, he’s he’s getting kind of smacked up in all these starts. Um, he’s had a problem with walks. He’s given up two or more walks in each of his last five. He had a game against the Dodgers on April 16th where he gave up six walks. Like I said, guys, gross game game I’m not going to touch. If I had to play it, though, I’ll take an over. Um, you know, Tanner Tanner Gordon will probably get smacked up in this game. And then I I I could definitely see the Rockies tag tagging in some runs as well. So, just a game that I don’t want to bet either side. um especially with who’s on the mound. So, let’s just let’s just fade both these pictures and and taking over here. So, that’s going to do it, guys. I appreciate you watching this.
