Jalen Ramsey on his big play to close out Steelers’ win over Jets

Jaylen, what did you uh see on that final play uh where you were able to close in on Garrett and uh separate the ball from from him? Uh it was a visual play call, so I was able to get visual on Justin and saw him kind of moving in the pocket, but saw um Garrett coming across the field in my free field and just did what I do. What’s that conversation like when you guys are going out there for that final series whenever it’s not necessarily gone exactly the way you guys wanted to on the defensive side of the ball where you guys were able to go go out there and make a play? Uh that’s a defender’s mentality. Every play is a new play. Every series is a new series. Yeah, we understand that things happen throughout the game that we weren’t um pleased about, but we got to keep playing, especially when our offense is going out there and they’re putting up points and um trying to win the game for us. We got to we got to come through at some point, right?

  11. Still don't know how Omar even got Ramsey, let alone Ramsey AND Smith?!?! There must've really been some bad shit going on between Jalen and Coach for Miami to even THINK about shipping TWO unicorns, Jalen a stone cold dog and a wildcard in the secondary who can be shutdown at every position and Smith a pro bowl TE who also plays like a WR, for a player like Minka whose best days are clearly behind him and who has an expensive contract paying him for the player he was, not the player he now is. Its getting to the point where GMs need to think twice before making a deal with Omar

  13. Ramsey is worth every single cent. We have some real ballers on the D, but they need to be better coordinated. I got confidence in this crew and their leaders, and I feel like they are going to dominate. And it is good to see Jalen without that magical hair covered up. 😀

  14. We have a lot of new Steelers that haven’t played together. Give them some time. This is one of the most talented defenses we have had in a while. I think they can make it work as long as they do the behind the scenes work together.

  37. It's only the first game of the season we didn't win a super bowl. But that defense has to figure out how to stop the run or it's going to be a very long season. You cannot keep getting gashed like that for huge chunks of yards! Maybe our first round draft choice can help. I absolutely love the addition of Ramsey that is Steelers football Old school except without penalty. # go Steelers.

  44. I noticed during the game a lot of times the D looked like they weren't getting the play on time or everyone wasn't hearing the play… arms were going up trying to figure out how to line up… way off.. Especially joey porter jr.. looked like he was doing it every play
