76ers Rumors: Kelly Oubre Trade Destinations Via Bleacher Report | Dario Saric RETURNS To Philly?

[Music] The Kelly Ubé trade drama continues. Bleacher Report put together a list of four ideal Kelly Ubé trade destinations if the Sixers do end up trading the wing. And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re like, why would the Sixers be trading Kelly Ubé? Let me get you caught up really quickly. So, over the past couple weeks or so, these rumors have really started to intensify. Jake Fischer, NBA insider, used to be with Yahoo, does a lot of work with Bleacher Report now, reported that there’s been buzz all summer long, not just the past couple weeks, all summer long. But the Sixers looking to potentially move one of, if not both, Andre Drummond and Kelly Ubé. If they are able to find a deal for one of those two guys, that would open up some more wiggle room to for Philadelphia to pay Quinton Grimes a little bit more. So, this is all to pay Quinton Grimes more money potentially in restricted free agency. And then just the other day, Kelly Ubé in the comments of an Instagram post talking about these trade rumors kind of clap back at Sixers fans a little bit saying, “I love Philly, but the love doesn’t seem to be reciprocated.” What happened to this place? For those saying I’m garbage because my three-point percentage went down. Still put up numbers. I’d still cook you. Played through finger surgeries on my left hand, thumb, and pinky for the past three years. Still put my soul into this There’s only one or that’s one thing only God can take from me. Hope to see y’all soon. God speed. So now here we are. Kelly Ubé getting a little pissed off at Sixers fans. Some Sixers fans I’ve seen taking both sides of the coin here with Ubé. where I’m at personally, I don’t want to move Kelly Ubé. If there’s a deal you cannot refuse where it’s a clear upgrade, then sure, I’d be okay with it. But I’m not giving up UB just to clear up salary and to downgrade the roster. I like what he can bring. And although he can be a little bit inconsistent offensively, he’s too good of a player to just dump for nothing. But there is a possibility the Sixers could trade him. So, we can’t just ignore the fact that this could happen, which is why we’re taking a look at some possible destinations here today. Before we get in to those four teams that could trade for Kelly Uber, get involved here on the show. That’s what this is all about here on 76ers. Now, for you guys to make your your voices be heard and to get involved. So, let me know if you want the Sixers to keep Kelly UB. I want you to hit that thumbs up icon and like the video. If you don’t, if you want the Sixers to trade UB, let me know why down in the comments section. So again, these are Bleacher Reports, trade destinations, and their trade ideas. So don’t come at me saying a certain trade idea sucks or a certain destination sucks, not my ideas. I’m just reacting and giving my thoughts and opinions and analysis on these options from Bleacher Report. Number one was the Orlando Magic in particular going after one of their big men in Goa Betaz. Here is what Bleach Report had to say on this potential move. Given the perennial uncertainty surrounding Joel Embiid and his health, the Sixers could use a little more depth at the five, especially if they trade away Andre Drummond and the Magic might have more centers than they know what to do with. That creates quite a log gem and a straight swap of Ubé for Goa Patad could partially clear it. Given the fact Patad is three years younger and a little more versatile, Philadelphia would likely have to part way with some draft capital, but he’d give the Sixers a good option at the five when Embiid is out. Now, I think the Sixers wouldn’t have to give up any draft capital in this scenario. I think this would just be a straight one forone swap. Sixers getting in the big man in Goa Patad. The Magic bringing in the wing, the forward in Kelly Ubé. And look, out of all the four trades we’re going to talk about, this one I don’t mind so much. Skoga Patad not a big name but you know if you’re really tapped in with the NBA and I’m sure you know not a lot of people are watching at least Sexers fans are super tapped in with Orlando Magic basketball but Goku Patad has been a pretty decent player over the past few years even better than I think what his production would show coming off a career year for the Magic in which he played 70 games put up over seven points six rebounds over 60% from the field over a block a game he’s a pretty solid center option especially coming off the bench ideally for Philadelphia and right now in Eurobasket if you don’t know Eurob basket is this pretty much big tournament of all these overseas teams obviously players go back and play for their home countries their hometowns and compete in this big tournament and Gokat led the Georgia men’s national basketball team to the Eurob basket quarterfinals for the first time in their history they did end up falling in today’s game to Finland I believe and Goa did actually end up getting ejected from that game which we’ll talk about that as part of his game here in a little bit but in Eurob basket he was hooping and the big thing I want to point out here right cuz you know of course he’s getting more touches you he’s going to put up more points and put up better numbers but shot 36.4% 4% from three in these six Euro basket games. He is like a 13% career three-point shooter in the NBA. And he was taking a little over three attempts a game, close to four attempts a game as well in Euro basket. So if he can become a more reliable three-point shooter, that opens up his game even more than it already is. So, look, if Philly does want to trade Kelly Ubé and they are dead set on moving him to make a change on this roster, whether it’s to clear up money or not, I do like this move. Right. Again, assuming you trade away Andre Drummond, then behind Embiid, you have Batad, you have Adam Bona. Batad is a really good interior center, right? And a really good hustle play kind of guy. He’ll grab an offensive rebound. He’ll make the right switch on defense. But where he really has to lock in is being more consistent. And I mentioned he got ejected from that Euro basket game. Controlling his emotions, it has been an issue for him and he hasn’t been a great three three-point shooter, but he showed that a little bit in Eurob basket. Can that continue? We’ll see. But I would like this move if the Sexers do decide to trade Kelly Ubé. Orlando Magic destination number one. Destination number two here from Bleacher Report. No particular order here. The Golden State Warriors. Of course, Kelly Uber has played for the Golden State Warriors in the past. Warriors fans have been pretty fond of Kelly Ubé in his time there. But the issue here with a Warriors Sixers trade, as Bleacher Report mentioned, is that there’s really no player for player swap like there is in the Orlando Magic’s case. This would be a trade where Philadelphia is straight up just looking to clear Uber’s $8 million salary. And the Warriors have a trade exception so they can just absorb Ub’s contract. In this case, Sixers get two second round picks, one of them being a swap worst with Minnesota, meaning Minnesota can choose the better of those two second round picks. Look, this is the exact kind of move that I’ve been saying I do not want to make. If you’re trading away Kelly Ubé, he is not a salary dump player. You don’t just trade him for a couple picks and move on. Even if you know he’s not this high-end starting caliber player and he is a little bit inconsistent offensively, especially from behind the arc, he does other things on the basketball floor that make him a valuable player. He’s not the kind of guy you trade for a couple backend second round picks. So, I’m all out on that Warriors trade idea. That is disrespectful in my opinion to somebody like Kelly Ubé. And if you’re going to trade him, you need to get at least a good rotation piece in return like you did in the Batad deal. Still two more trades to get through. One of them bringing a former Sixer back to Philadelphia. But first, got to tell you guys about this amazing amazing deal going on right now on Allen Iverson jerseys of all different styles, all different sizes, all on sale. some of them 50 plus% off at chatsports.comale. You see that link right below me, chatsports.comale. That link will be in the comments in the description of today’s show. You can click on it, go over to Fanatics, and you can get any AI jersey you would like. Pretty much all of them again are on sale right now, but that sale not going to last forever. So take advantage while you still can. Again, all different styles you can pick out. whichever one you’d like. All different sizes available on sale right now at chatsports.comale. Again, that’ll be in the comments and description of today’s show. So, we’ve talked about the Magic, talked about the Warriors. Destination number three, another Western Conference team here is the Denver Nuggets. And I’m telling you this again right now off the rip. This trade idea from Bleacher Report, another one that I do not like. Now, in this potential Sixers Nuggets trade, Sixers do get a player back, but it’s a player who I am not a fan of, and has one of the worst contracts in the NBA, especially for players making not a lot of money. In this deal, the Sixers get Zeke Naji from the Denver Nuggets and a second round pick because the Nuggets, this is the only tradable draft pick that they have. Can’t trade any first round picks. They’re all locked and they have no other second round picks. This is the only tradeable pick for Denver. So that’s the pick the Sixers get in this deal. Look, Zeke Naji far and away a worse player than Kelly Ubé. He’s had his injury concerns as well and he’s on a bad contract for the player that he is. Why would I trade Ubé for a worse player on a worse contract who does have his injury concerns for a second round pick? Again, it’s just not worth it. Naji at one point in time was considered an intriguing young player back after the 2021 2022 season where yeah he only played 41 games. You can see he’s never played more than 60 games in his career. Coming off a season where he shot 50% from the field, 46% from three at about 6’9 610. So a taller player who can do a lot of things in the basketball floor. At the time that’s what we thought. But over the past few seasons just has not been able to recapture that same magic. and the Nuggets gave him a pretty sizable deal and now he is literally completely out of the rotation. When he does play, it’s in blowouts, it’s spot minutes here and there. They drafted his replacement in last year’s NBA draft and Deron Holmes, who unfortunately to Achilles, but he should be back this season. He’s under contract, Naji is for the next three years. And look, it’s not a ton of money, right? 8 million, 7 million, 7 million. But this is a guy who is not going to play for Philadelphia. He will not be getting rotation minutes. Why are you paying a guy 87$7 million over the next three seasons to not play at all? It is one of the worst contracts in the NBA for guys making under $10 million. I am staying far away from this potential Zeke Naji trade. Magic Nuggets Warriors. Let’s end off with another Western Conference team here in the Sacramento Kings. And in this move, you bring back a player who I’ll say once was a fan favorite in Philadelphia. At least I know he was a fan favorite to me back in those early process days. That is Dario Sar potentially coming back to Philadelphia along with a 2026 second round pick via the Charlotte Hornets. Protected at the back end of the second round, but if it’s anything before 56 through 60, Sixers would get it. So, it’s Daario and a second in exchange for Kelly Ubé. Again, you know, I like Daario. A lot of fun when he was on this team, even if you know, at the beginning, they weren’t winning a lot of games, but he was on some of those teams that started to turn it around a little bit, but just not sure. This is the move you want to make. Bleacher board here on this potential Sixers Kings deal. Dario did sign with the Kings in the offseason. Sarge certainly isn’t the player he was when he last suited up for the Sixers back in 2018, but a reunion would be fun. And if Philadelphia is intent on trying to make the playoffs this season, there’s an argument he might even be more valuable. I disagree there. Sar had a disastrous 2024 2025 for the Nuggets, but he’s proven capable of playing the five in recent years, has a significant advantage over Uber in career box plus minus and is a far better and more willing passer. That is an area where Sar definitely does have an edge over Kelly Ubé is as a passer in the playmaking department. It has a little bit more size, the ability to play the four, play a little bit of small ball five, although really is a small ball five and was a disaster season for Denver last year. Played just 16 games when he was on the floor. Wasn’t good at all the previous two seasons there. You know, a little bit better. Played with the Warriors in there and was decent. You know, 39% from three, 37% from three. But for Bleacher Report to say that if the Sixers are contending they think Sarich would be more valuable to them than Ubé would be, I again have to disagree with Bleacher Report’s analysis here. Look, when Daario was on the Sixers to start his career, man, he was an exciting player right at his size. He could handle the rock a little bit. He had a little bit of a funky game, but he made it work. And I really did love watching Dario Sarge play. But look, that was what, 2016, 2017, 2018. It is 2025, man. It’ll be 2026 in the back half of the season. And Sarge has dealt with injuries. He really hasn’t been making much of an impact over the past few years. I bet some of you guys don’t even know that Sarge has been in the NBA over the past couple of seasons. So, look, I get if the Sixers want to get off of UB to make these kind of moves, you get a second round pick and a player who might be able to play it for you. But, I’m sorry, Sar. As much as I love you and I’d love to see a reunion, I think Uber at this point in their careers is just a far better option. I’d rather just hold on to him. So, I asked you earlier if you wanted UB to be traded or not. Now, I’m going to switch it up a little bit. I want you to predict it for me. Regardless of your feelings on UB, do you think the Sixers will trade Kelly? Give me yes, give me or no, that simple down in the comments section. And we’ll see you next time right here on 76ers Now. 2. Hell no, and stop feeding this BS, you part of the problem, this is why Kelly is pissed at is fans, because yall feeding this BS. And thinks it’s us, come up with better content please!

  3. I don’t see them trading him right now, maybe at the trade deadline but I don’t think before the summer. Although I will say he is probably their only player that has value that they are willing to part with that isn’t a rookie or on a max contract. No one else wants anyone else from our roster and if they have to free up $$ for grimes and can’t find a place for Drummond or someone else, he might become a casualty of that.

  4. Jake, i feel like you start this drama as a true fan of the 76ers as you claim you are 😂 first it was this nonsense with this and with the grimes signing that still hasn't happened who cares we screwed either way with 2 injury prone all stars.
