Uh what we got here is the Cubs, Matthew Boyd, right? This guy needs to get out of his funk if this Cubs team wants to make a splash in the playoffs. They’re pretty much going to wrap up the top spot in the NL wild card with 83 wins. They’re not going to catch the Brewers for the NL Central. They’re five and a half behind them. It’s just not going to happen. Uh so they need to focus on securing that top spot. Uh I doubt they’d fall out. The Mets hold the third spot right now and they’re way down there. So Cubs will make the playoffs, but they got to get their guys right. Matthew Boyd, he’s got to get it going. Guy’s 12 and eight, but man, 0 and2 over his last three starts, and he took a loss against the Nationals last time. Only two strikeouts in that game. this lefty, he needs to work on his uh get his velocity or something up. I don’t know if it’s just a long season, but he’s going against the Rays who have struggled. They pretty much threw in the towel. They know their season’s over. Uh they got Shane Ba Baz on the mound. This guy respectable numbers his last two starts, right? Uh going one and0 in his last two starts. Cubs had two days off rest for this. They need this series. They need this game one, especially with Matthew Boyd on the mound. So, the kitchen sink’s going to be thrown out here. This total is set at seven and a half. I can guarantee that wind’s blowing this way.
