get ready for game. Uh feeling good. Um you know, uh definitely wanted to win. Um I mean there’s no moral victories in this sport. Uh so I mean we trying to do whatever we got to do to get to one and one. How’d you kind of feel just like your acclamation came in? Obviously it was a quick turnaround one week, but how’d you feel you acclimated to a new defense and and all that? Yeah. Uh I mean I only been here a couple days and uh you know for me to you know learn the playbook and uh be able to play as fast as I as I as I could have uh you know felt pretty good. Um, you know, still a lot of stuff I got to get better at and um, you know, I’m going to work and work at that every day. Was talking about there’s a duo play where you were kind of able to hold one blocker off with one hand and make a tackle. When you kind of have the quick turnaround like that, is it maybe help you just kind of do football a little bit more? It’s like, hey, I just got to go out there and go play in addition to knowing the play. Yeah, I mean, uh, you know, yeah, this is what I do, you know. Uh, I mean I mean I know how to I know how to play and uh it’s it’s uh I mean the main thing is just you know being able to get lined up and I’ll be able to do the rest. Uh so that was my that was my main focus being able to learn the blisses, learn the movements uh and all that kind of stuff and uh once I get my feet in the ground I’m good. You’ve played AT&T Stadium before. What do you anticipate getting ready to go to your first home game? Man, I can’t wait. Uh I know it’s going to be rocking. Uh you know it’s going to be uh it’s going to be a great uh divisional game. um in in a game that we we definitely need. Uh so I know the crowd going to bring it. That was my next question here. Division game here. You definitely don’t want to go 0 and2 knowing you lose to division game. Yeah. Uh our goal is to be one and one. Um you know by the end of the week and uh you know we we we start off 0 and one in division and uh we can’t get two games behind. What challenges Russell Wilson facing? Uh a lot. I mean he can he got a great deep ball. If you get if you give him time um he can throw he can throw a deep ball. Uh I mean he can scramble out of the pocket. Uh he’s he’s very elusive. Um and I mean he can get the ball out quick. He’s a vet. He he been doing it for years. I’ve been playing him for years and got a lot of respect for Russell. I got hit in Yeah. lip today. Yeah. So yeah, just Yeah. helmet practice and crazy. How was your first time lining up next to OSA in a game? And how do you feel like your guys chemistry in game? Uh man, OSA OSA is beast, man. Um you know, just he he’s elusive. uh explosive um so you know to get a chance to to play with him uh has been awesome and I know we gonna wreck havoc together. And limiting Saquon to around 60 yards. I mean what does that tell you about what you guys can do in the run defense going forward? I mean that’s the name of the game. I mean if if we can stop guys uh from running the ball and our offense can keep playing how we playing um we going to be able to get up on guys and uh and be able to rush the passer you know and later late in in the games. Uh so uh you know that’s the goal. We got to we got to keep on stopping the run. Uh keep getting guys behind the sticks in in third and long situations and uh and just keep playing complimentary football. And how do you where do you feel like you are with in your knowledge of the scheme here now that you’re uh every day I’m I’m getting better at it. Uh I mean it’s I mean it’s a it’s an everyday improvement and um I mean but uh I got I got a pretty lock lock on a lot of things. Uh I’m pretty sure it’s going to be some more game plan stuff I’m going to have to figure out, but uh right I don’t feel comfortable right now. with a small sample size, but how do NFC East games compare to NFC North? Man, uh it’s football, you know. Um you know, the stakes is always high when it’s when it’s a division game. Uh I mean, the game we just played, it was it was definitely a physical game and I I expect nothing less coming in this week. Over the years, Russell Wilson’s kind of been a scrambling quarterback. Facing Jaylen Herds, he was able to get out of the pocket, run on you guys. What do you feel like you can do to improve in that area going forward? Uh it’s all about uh communication and discipline in your rush lanes. Um uh I mean that’s that’s the main thing. I don’t think um the Eagles really did anything special. Uh and you know at the end of the day you can’t you can’t beat yourself doing stuff like that. That’s just beating yourself. And uh we got to be better uh you know in all phases and uh it starts with us as a defensive line being communicating and uh being disciplined in our wrestling. Do you feel like that’s an easy thing to correct? Most definitely. I mean, um, I I mean, I wouldn’t say it’s easy. I mean, everybody got to hold it hold each other accountable to doing it. Um, and it takes every day us coming in every day and pushing each other to do it every day. Uh, but, uh, as long as we communicate and we work together, um, you know, that shouldn’t happen.
