Will Mike McDaniel get fired if Dolphins lose to Patriots? | The Dan Le Batard Show | NBC Sports

keep his job, but I’m also
really interested in what happens. What happens if they
lose this game to Mike, Vrabel in his first year and Drake met
in his second year because I just don’t see a scenario in
which their Owen to with a loss at home to the New England
Patriots, a team that every Dolphin fan assumed they’d be
better. Then someone has to go. Can I make the argument though?
If we lose this game to the Patriots, that’s it on the
season. We want the first overall pick.
You almost want to be bad. You keep McDaniel do and just
like yes, well, bad luck. This is why.
I think the move is, you get rid of Tyree kill because at a, I
mean, maybe you could argue get rid of Greer because we can keep
things moving. We don’t need to GM all that
much. No way. Ross does that.
Let me, let me just, I do want to say to you guys, like I
understand that when something looks like this and feels like
this, you’re going to go straight to the top of the food
chain and blame. I’ve seen that guy do what he
did when he had the pieces healthy and turned Rahim most
stirred into someone who had 18 touchdowns. You can sit here and
lament how bad a coach you think he is.
He’s getting collateral damage on architecture here.
That is an owner and a GM who have been failing for a long
time and maybe a different coach would make it look different
Brian Flores made it look a little more competent but what I
saw Sunday, in terms of offensive line and defensive
line play there, wasn’t a coach who was going to fix what was
happening there. There’s not that was not a
matter of scheme. That was a matter of a defense
that doesn’t have enough pressure up, front, can’t guard
anybody in the back playing against a team that was well
coach, but I don’t think that that is coaching.
I don’t wait, dan are the pieces that much worse this year than
they were the year previous. And the year previous said that,
because the team is getting worse offensively.
They’re definitely not different. But the quarterback
is It defies I have seen this coach put together a scheme of
bandages, when some of the pieces are healthy to and he’ll
Chief among them, and you see that the offense does things.
And again, most heard scores 18 touchdowns Sandlot batard, no
one on this show was more on the record, about liking Mike
McDaniel. He is not without blame on things that you’re
mentioning saying he’s Without Blame. I’m just saying that he’s
not the top of the list, he’s just the top of the organization
so that’s where the blame will. Like it, I think I think the
scapegoat the obvious one here is Tyree kill Vibes are toxic
around him. You can say like look we tried
to change a culture with Tyreke but he’s the culture issue and
it’s the one guy even like, well, Greer maybe, but if you
get rid of Tyree killed, the fan base might be like okay we can
still be good. Now that we got this out of our
huddle I hear what you’re saying it’s an easy way especially if
Casey also Owen to after this week it’s not that easy though
because you have to take the money into it and how much He’s
making it how much cap from your team has?
What the? No, No.
It would be, no, you’re right about that.
Know your, it’s not just like you want him for number three.
Here you go. Like it doesn’t work.
No way, no, you’re right. But the easy part, which I think
is what Mike is getting at is, it’s, it’s like a stay of
execution where it’s, hey, give us a little time.
We just got rid of another toxic element and it buys you another
couple weeks to maybe, look better on the field.
The thing though that we’re doing to McDaniel, and again,
please, do not take this as it. Fence of did of McDaniel, but
one of the reasons that that job can be unpleasant, as head coach
is, when you are the face and the voice of a team Everyday,
People notice the general manager, less, and less, and so
Chris Greer cannot get what it is that McDaniel gets because
he’s not a face and a voice that you’re looking at all the time.
But he’s more responsible for what presently witnessing than
the coach. I’ve seen this coach be good and
you can say that he’s since been store that are undressed or that
he can’t make adjustments to the adjustments. The moment that his
quarterbacks head scrambled or his receivers a little bit
slower, but I’ve seen him score 70. I’ve seen the offense look
like it’s never looked. I’ve seen most stirred put up 18
touchdowns as a pretty disposable running back and so
I’m not going to say that he’s the top of the blame here.
I mean, Chris career could take credit for that.
Tyree kill can take credit for scoring 70 points.
I’ve seen them all individually and collectively be good at the
exact same time, but if they fall 2012, someone must pay.
I can’t dispute that and I want

  1. The problems year over years is Grier. His roster is horrible. McD was his choice and also a really bad coach. And lastly Tua. He is not a franchise qb. He never should have been picked after he broke his hip at Alabama. He'll be on ir by the end of the Bills game.

But unless you get rid of Grier, nothing will change, and most of the fans know it.

  2. Yes. Ross has overall responsibility, along with Grier. Both Campbell and Flores were allowed to walk. Crazy. Poor drat picks, bad trades. Ross needs to man up and clean house. GM and McDaniels have to go. Get rid of Tua. He's not a franchise QB. Too fragile. McDaniels looks dazed and confused.

  3. Scoring 70 points was one of the worst things that happened to this group. Fans were taking victory laps left and right but it set an unrealistic standard that they were the new greatest show on turf, when in reality it's a bunch of guys with a limited qb and a quirky coach. They had a 2 year year window to unseat Buffalo but let it slip away.

  4. The scapegoat is tyreek huh.. yeah hold to you fanbase the tuaneers.. new coach new quarterback.. tua is trash 🗑 and only the tuaneers will say they'll good without tyreek and with tua.. get the picks for tyreek.. trade minkah sieler chop Phillips and achane. . Tank the rest of the year.. draft a quarterback let him sit behind tua for a year and then cut tua
