FIRST CAREER HOMER IN HIS VERY FIRST AT-BAT! A SPECIAL family reaction for Zach Cole’s 1st homer ❤️
So Dana, here he is. First big league at bat. You get get to be in the booth. He’s out of Ball State. 10th round pick. We looked at his numbers between double A and Triple A right before he came on the broadcast. It seems like the swing and miss has been something you guys have been focusing in on because he he has not swung and missed quite as much as the season’s gone along. Yeah. You know, swing and miss is always a big thing for young hitters. Oh, did you? Let’s go. How about that first pitch? We get back. Let’s take a house. Is that a spark? Hey, that’s a big spark. That’s the spark. That’s exactly what we’re talking about. 114.3 off the bat. Sometimes you got to think outside the box, folks. That’s the spark you were talking about, D. That is the spark that we’re talking about. Can I Can I be honest right now? I’m a little disappointed. Why? What? You’re sitting down. You didn’t jump up or do it. I mean, I heard you’re an excitable guy. Never let a man see you sweat. I wish we had your heart rate right now. My heart rate’s going really good. You’re going to have to turn the notifications off on your phone, too. Dana Brown, you called the guy up today and on the first pitch, he hits one in the seat. Are you kidding me? Nice little spark for the guys. Great catch, broke the ice in left field. Now you get up and, you know, give them a chance to use some of that power. And that’s what we like to see for the young players. I mean, that’s a very finite group of major leaguers who have ever hit the first pitch they’ve seen out for a home run. And we have the guy who brought him up to make it happen. This kid, wow, what a start. Look, I told him in the dugout today, look, the only thing I want you to do is go out and have fun because usually when you have fun, you get hits. Great diving stop by Nacho Alvarez Jr. Dana, I’ll let you go ahead and be a color analyst along with Bl. What do you see, Blumber? Well, first of all, you got to guess right. He was sitting on that fast ball, but it was a little bit of a cutter that kind of turned into a cement mixer at the top of the zone, and he ambushed it. He didn’t elevate it either. He hit that thing on an absolute line. My feet. Yeah. Often times, you know, that pitch could hang and I think he got a hanging cutter and uh did some damage. Wow. How about that? 423 ft. Yeah. I like the exit below, too. Man, what timing to get you in the booth in the top of the third? Well, that was one of the things that I heard reading some of the scouting reports on Zack is, you know, the contact, but the barrel rates have been escalating for him, you know, each level of the minor leagues that he’s come through. Right. Yeah, you know what happens is when you when you’re going through the minor leagues and and all of a sudden you’re at the top of the minor leagues and you get hot, that’s the time that let’s say let’s see what this looks like at the big league level. Bob and Cassandra Cole reacting to their son’s home run. That’s a special moment that they will cherish forever here in Atlanta.

Even though it was against my Braves, this is still a special moment. Congrats 🎉

And the ball ended up in a Astros fan’s hands
Congrats bro Good Luck the rest of your career
Steroid

Did he know the pitch that was coming?
as an astro fan im glad that the braves also cheered
He’s on course to hit 10,000 career home runs
Coleおめでとう!
No matter what happens, history books have recorded Zach Cole's name.
On his very first pitch.
Give him the plate and all bases.
Now I have HOPE
Great stuff today! The Astros needed this refreshing change.
as an astros fan I’m gonna go pee sitting down
That's amazing
He made history 🙌🤜🤛
Way to go Zach
I Just moved to Atlanta, and had my family from Texas in town.
We went to this game and to see that was real special
Even the braves fans cheered when they found out that was his first
I appreciate his self control to jog the bases like he's done it before.
Weakest reaction/commentators for this
LET'S GO!!!
Absolutely crushed that ball
Sweet swing…effortless
I like what happened today, but unfortunately history is a female dog, do u guys remember Mark Saccomanno? Sep 8 or 9 2008, Similar situation, pinch hit for pitcher Beto Arias, first pitch 2 run homer, got just one more hit in next 10 games (I think 10 plate appearances) sent back to minors, never to be heard from again ( never called up again by Astros nor any other team for that matter) hopefully this kid is not the case, thanks
Even more rare than a first at bat homer is a first pitch of the first at bat homer.
What an awesome moment
Not do that… don’t give me hope.
Zack was locked in all day and went 3-4! He could be the offensive spark the Astros need to stay atop the AL West.
Congratulations COLE 16 ❤❤❤ What a day 😂
