Fred and Wallach say the Patriots’ loss wasn’t about coaching blunders—it’s just the team isn’t good

I went out after the game and you know people do come up to me in the public and especially during the football season they’re like what you think of the Patriots game and I and I said I and this isn’t a victory lap. It’s just they’re not good. Like it it’s I don’t know why you everyone thought they were going to be good. It’s week one. That’s fine. They’re not good. Your reaction to this game depends solely on how you felt about the team going in. Right. If you thought this was a nine or ten win team, you tend to be more angry this morning. If you were more realistic and thought six or seven wins, you go, “Okay, this was good. This wasn’t good, but there’s a lot of room for improvement.” The nitpicking on like the varable moves prove how this team isn’t any good. down 10 that they punted with like very little time left. And if that’s the big coaching blunder in quotations that cost them the game, then you you are not good because that’s hardly some decision that ended up biting you in the ass. It’s not like that’s why you lost the game. It’s an unc conventional decision based on his thoughts on the offense not being able to move the ball. You can question it, but that wasn’t the that wasn’t the tiebreaker. That wasn’t Of course you can question it. But then if that’s the thing you’re questioning about the game, that game was already pretty much over at that point. You weren’t going to score 10 points with that much time left. It just wasn’t going to happen.

  1. Most everyone I've seen have optimism around the Patriots generally hovered around 8-9 wins. That's like an average team. I wouldn't even classify a team like that as good. But if you genuinely believe you could have an elite QB and you think Vrabel is good enough to win a Super Bowl one day, 6-7 wins is kinda unacceptable. That number would make me question if Maye and Vrabel are the right guys for the future. You got 3 last year. I won't count last game. The free agent signings, vast improvement in coaching supposedly and improvement in the young QB shouldn't just get only 6 wins. Sorry. That's not good enough. 8 is a good enough number for me to have faith these are the right 2. Not saying they aren't or that they are. But 8 wins puts my mind at ease. Especially with the easy schedule.

  2. Did they not watch the first half? I thought the play calling was ATROCIOUS! How many times did they try a power run up the middle on 3rd and short that got stuffed? And when the offense did have SOME momentum, it was ruined because McDaniels would call a stupid bubble screen that went for a loss every time.

  3. The team was trash last year too but yall put all the blame on the black guy and got him fired……face it Tom brady should be the owner, coach,gm ,qb for this joke of a franchise because only time you mattered was when he was there…he left and won a super bowl with the buccaneers that should've told the whole state of Massachusetts what it was

  4. The defense was supposed to be our saving grace and they looked worse than the offense. O Line looked exactly as bad as we’d expected and Will Campbell had costly errors. They are who we thought they were… except worse cuz the defense is also bad

  5. Exactly I watched the game I wasn't unhappy I thought they did okay. But that's because I'm expecting 5-6 win season.. new coach new coordinators both sides of the ball half the team is new players a lot of rookies out there yeah yeah yeahs super bowl team right sure. No 5 to 6 wins.
