Arizona Diamondbacks vs Minnesota Twins (09-12-25) MLB Game Predictions, Picks and Best Bets

[Music] 977 978 we got Brandon F and the uh suddenly in the playoff picture Diamondbacks at plus 126 Pablo Lopez and the Twins minus 140 total of eight and a half with some juice to the under at minus 120. All right, Corby, let’s start with you. I got to be honest, we haven’t I I I kind of lean Diamondbacks in this game overall. I think they’re a lot of dogs here. They got something to play for. To me, motivation matters. Diamondbacks are absolutely in the playoff hunt with, you know, a few weeks to go here in the regular season. Twins are out of it. Uh, probably the safest route if you’re going to back the Diamondbacks would be first five. Obviously, we’ve talked about the struggles in the bullpen, but what do you think in this game here, Corby? Diamondbacks twins. Yeah, the best news of the day is Andreas behind the scenes also agrees Diamondbacks are the spot. So, I think that’s the first time I’ve seen him say that. So either that’s go buck or or we’re cooked. It’s it’s one or the other. I’m not sure which one. Um yeah, I’m going to play the Diamondbacks race to two minus 120. Basically just getting a good price um to the Diamondbacks starting out early. The road team again base talked about this at the start of the year, but like I mean this team has all the bats that they could ask for. Of course they got rid of a good bit during the trade deadline. A lot of them just haven’t looked up to speed. You got to remember there was a time where we were talking about Jake McCarthy, like how he was this unbelievable batter and now his 228 uh expected batting average just isn’t going to get anybody too excited. But you hit a nail on the head, Kyle. I one of these teams has significantly more to play for. Um the Diamondbacks seem to be I wouldn’t say heating up, but like it just feels like there’s some some positive momentum in Arizona. So giving me the road team race to two runs Diamondbacks – 120. Diamond backs – 120 race to two makes sense on Paba Lopez Bdub. What do we think here? There’s got to be some excitement out in Arizona. This team is alive pushing for the playoffs and you throw out this stud branded fought today. What an electric atmosphere for Diamondbacks Twins. I I appreciate your enthusiasm for trying to create some intrigue with this National League playoff race, but I just I don’t see it there for about this I just ran the Sims and Well, they’re I mean they’re not out of it yet. They’ve by the playoff simulations, they’ve got a 2.5% chance. Uh the the the race is somewhat like we mentioned Cincinnati 11.5% and then the Giants, we’ll talk about that game a little bit later, 12.9%. So the Mets are still kind of in the catbird seat, if you will, uh with a 74.3% chance. Uh and it’s like I just don’t see I don’t see this team being able to make a push, this Arizona team. But the bullpen is just just spectacularly bad. Uh the worst team in baseball from a bullpen standpoint by my ratings. And they were just so hurt this whole year uh by by injuries with with uh Martinez getting hurt, Puck getting hurt, of course uh Corbin getting hurt, too. And uh you notice how I used the first name on that one, Kyle. But uh uh today I I think there’s value with the Diamondbacks. Um, you know, the Twins are in the market at -42. I think it should be closer to a pick him. I’ve got it minus 107. I don’t mind Corby’s play. I think it’s pretty good. You know, you take a look uh at the uh at the lineup of of the of the Dbacks and I just want to I want to page over to that because it’s it’s pretty amazing like it Corby kind of alluded to this the the depth. So, they got this is their first four guys. So, Purdomo, Marte, and Carol. You look for Domo, he’s had a pretty good year versus right-handed pitching. He’s 20% better than average. Marte 54% better than average. And Carol 60% better than average. And then the two next guys, Moreno and Dell Castillo are above average right there at average, 101 102. But you look at the the bottom part, uh, Bla1 Alexander, a guy that I have rated 16% worse than a average. I you you could say that Blaze is not really on fire. And then Alec Thomas has been really poor, 30% worse. They’ve got a guy Vargas, uh, he’s he’s bad. He’s 25% worse than an average hitter versus right-handers. And then McCarthy, who’s right about average versus right-handed hitters. So, uh, the reason I’m bringing this up and going into depth about the lineup is because Corby has the the race to two, and that might be a good idea. uh you got this uh really good explosive offense at the top there and I I think that they’re they’re a little bit better than than Minnesota’s uh top of the lineup. And I don’t know, I mean, Lopez to me, he’s an interesting guy. I mean, he’s he’s his location’s really good. It’s one of the best in baseball in in the the 99th percentile, but the stuff’s in the fifth percentile. So, it’s an interesting uh dichotomy, if you will. And I I like Corby’s play. I I don’t know if I’m going to put out the the the Dbacks on the card yet. If I do, it’s going to be a first five for me, Kyle. Yeah, that makes a ton of sense to me. I want to give a shout out to a couple guys in the chat box. Our guy Jack learned how to tie a bow tie. It feels like a real man. Congratulate. That’s uh I mean, if you’re wearing a bow tie, I hope you’re rocking suspenders and like uh some, you know, you got to you got to make it look tight. And then our guy Jacob Hefner went out on a limb and tried standup comedy. He says it didn’t go great, but dude, I don’t think anybody’s first try goes great. So, I wouldn’t give up on that. I think uh that takes a lot of balls to do that. So, shout out to you, man. Glad you had a good time. Uh we like it when people in the chat box chase their dreams.
