Jalen Duren Can Take The Pistons To Another Level If He’s Consistent On Both Ends
If you look at how this team takes another jump and, you know, solidifies themselves to be in the upper echelon of not only the Eastern Conference, but of the NBA, you know, for years to come as one of those intriguing young teams, it’s Jaylen Duran taking that next step and becoming that, you know, that that solid wingman to like AK Cunningham. But, you know, like for this team to really, you know, like continue to like like carry forward and be consistent and, you know, like have like that solid level of play on the defensive side of the ball, like Jaylen Dur’s like the anchor of a lot of that. And, you know, I think a lot of their inconsistency at the beginning of the season did come down to the fact that they weren’t getting consistent quality play at the big position, especially when, you know, Duran was out on the court. So to your point, if he goes out and and looks like first half of last year, I I have some real concerns because, you know, at what point do you get over that hump and we don’t have to have this conversation about your effort and, you know, like your intensity that you’re bringing? I actually agree here, I've always said that among the core Duren is the guy to be Cade's duo. The way Cade plays his number 2 should be a talented big man. Duren has the potential and ability to be the secondary offensive engine and defensive anchor on that team.
