Royals vs. Phillies Game Highlights (9/13/25) | MLB Highlights

Tyjuan walker making his 20th start last time out in Miami last weekend got hit pretty hard in the first, but Then settled down ended up going six innings breaking ball, got him back door and he gets the call. Third strike is Bobby Witt Junior went one for three last night in the series opener, a swing and a pop up right. And who wants it? Walton and Donovan Walton getting the start at second base ranging out to make the play two outs on six pitches. And here’s Vinney fastball lined over Harper’s glove at first down the right field line and into the corner passino rounds first Kepler digs it out on the warning track and passino cruises into second with a two out double. And now Michael Garcia who drove in a run with two outs in the first inning last night and he’s been doing that all year into left center field and he’s done it again and the Royals for a third straight game score in the top of the first inning. So garcia is on at first with two outs for Salvador Perez and Salvi hits it in the air to deep left center field to that corner and Bader is not going to get there. And it’s a two run home run home run number 299 for Salvador Perez. And the Royals hang a three on the scoreboard in the first inning. There you go. Captain. Make it six for six. Now with two homers in his career off walker. My goodness, that’s beautiful. There’s a comebacker. Walker has got it and that will end the top of the first. Finally, three runs home for the Royals. So the Phillies go to the bottom of the first with some work to do as Ryan Berger, who has already faced the Phillies in San Diego back in July and this is one of the hottest hitters right now. Harrison, here’s a dribbler might work out garcia bare hand and it’s not in time. He just gets hit. That’s all he does. Here’s kyle Swarb Phillies will look to chip away at this three run lead. Walk. The second guy to bring up Bryce Harper hit home run number 26 last night and Berger just reaches back and blows him away. One out, didn’t know he had 97 in his tank, but there you go. That’s exactly what you do to a prolific hitter like him. Here’s JT and he got real muto to chase a high fastball. Brandon Marsh with two on two out, 333 so far in the five game win streak, the ball hit well to left again. Going back is Frazier to the wall. Look up and it’s off the wall as Frazier couldn’t make the play, two runs are going to score and brandon Marsh answers back. The Phillies are on the board. It’s a one run game. Brandon Marsh gets sick. A couple of games doesn’t skip a beat. Talk about picking up your teammates there big time. The Royals lead cut to 3 to 2 and now with a runner in scoring position, it’s Max Kepler Los it shallow center field. Kyle is sprints in, goes out Frazier over is there. He makes the catch and that ends the inning. So Berger gets into a jam Then back to back strikeouts. Then a defensive miscue allows the Phillies to score twice. We go to the third in Philadelphia. Now it is Salvi who is 299 home run and he is now six for six lifetime with two home runs against his pitcher and a swing and a liner toward the alley and left center field way back and that ball is gone. A home run for Salvador Perez, a historic home run number 300 in his career RB I number 1000 all with one swing. Salvi’s second homer of the night and the Royals lead it 4 to 2 and he’s now seven for seven lifetime against walker. Let’s hope the captain gets that ball back. I saw him pointing out there. He’s probably saying, hey, that’s a souvenir right there. What a beautiful shot. Stay hot. Congratulations to the captain. That’s a great round number. Harri Abater will lead it off here in the bottom of the third inning up the middle another hit and it’s six straight multi hit games for Harrison Vader. This is like Tony Gwynn, like stuff here 3 to 0 pitch and that’s outside and he walks them again on four straight pitches. So the third inning starts exactly the way the first inning started. Let’s hope it ends at least as good as the first inning that Bryce Harper to the plate, the pitch outside and he walks the first three runners on here in the third inning and the bases are loaded for JT line drive right tagging. Bader makes the catch is coming home in the 4 to 3 on a sacrifice fly for JT. There goes Marsh and Kepler strikes out on a changeup. So could have been a lot worse. Philadelphia had the bases loaded with nobody out and Berger gives up just the one run. Got a new pitcher for the Kansas City Royals. It is an Serpa his left hander out of Venezuela kyle Schwarber to lead it off. So here to face Schwarber and Harper to start, swung on line to right pretty deep and that one is gone. Kyle Swar with number 51 and he’s tied the game line drive home run just over the wall and right as kyle Schwarber does it again. He’s been doing it all season long and just an easy swing and such easy power. That was a slider after the 38 but this one came through the Nitro zone and that’ll bring Bryce Harper to the plate in a brand new ball game. We’re all tied up at four and now the go ahead run is on Serpa who comes in to face the lefties allows a home run to Schwarber and he walks Harper and that will bring JT Realmuto to the plate. Hot shot to short and dropped it and everybody is going to be safe as that ball kicks away from him was hit at 108 off the bat. That’s a hit to score it ahead. Now, runners at 1st and 2nd and it will bring brandon Mars to the play bouncer to second. India charges gloves it and feeds to close to get both runners. And Rob Thompson doesn’t do a whole lot of pitch hitting this early in a ball game, but he’s going to take his shot here with Castanos off the bench, swung on , lifted in the air center field. His belt back into his right is going to get there and make the catch, but it’s plenty deep enough. Both runners will tag and Nick Casts has put the Phillies on top five before it’s a great at bat. So this is the Phillies first lead. Here’s a swing and a drive well hit left field going back Frazier and that ball is off the top of the wall just in play in to score Israel Muzo and in at second with a double is Otto Kemp and it’s a 64 Phillies lead. Otto Kemp with his seventh run bat at the end of the week. That was close finally out of the inning, but the Phillies scored three times to take the lead bottom of the sixth Royals start it with a new pitcher on the mound right hander, Jonathan Bolin facing Donovan Walton. There’s a single and a line drive to left field and there’s the first hit Donovan Walton as a Philly Boehner’s already got his required two hits for tonight. A little floater into right center field and another gift from Harrison Vader and the Phillies have something going again here in the sixth that will bring kyle Schwarber to the plate. He’s been on base all three times tonight. Ripped to right. There’s a base hit out of the glove with Pitino Walton around third. He’ll be waved home and the throw is not in time. Kyle Schwarber with another run batted in extending the Phillies lead. It’s now 7 to 4 Schwarber with 126 driven in this year to lead Major league baseball Royals down three and one out and now they’re on at the corners for Vinny Pasquin in the air right field. Castellanos gets underneath it on the track. Tolbert will come down from third and it’s a two run game. The new pitcher for the Royals is right hander Taylor Clark at the College of Charleston and he’s going to face Brandon Marsh. Here’s a swing and a drive right center field and deep and that one is on its way. Brandon Marsh 10th home run of the season and get that run back right away for the Phillies. They lead it 85 relentless. They are absolutely relentless. Top of the ninth inning and top of the order for the Kansas City Royals and they will face Phillies closer, Juan Duran who is out there on the mound, the Phillies with a two run lead here in the ninth looking to win their sixth straight game ground ball to second and Walton gobbles it up. Well, he’s going to have to get the heart of the order here for the Royals as Bobby Wood Junior now will step in and a ground ball to short Scott charges two down and fans are on their feet as they anticipate a win and it will be Vinnie Pasquin the batter 86 the final, the Phillies win it and the magic number is down to one as the Phillies poise to win the National League East for a second straight year.

  1. I love it WHEN Marsh has such a great game. It was nice to see him apologize to the catcher when his swing through on his homer hit the catcher in the head. I keep telling my brother-in-law to pick Marsh for his fantasy league, he never does. He is not a major star like some other player, but he's a work horse and produces plenty.

The Phillies are looking so great right now. I'm absolutely loving it.

    LET'S GO PHILLIES!!!🎉❤ 🇨🇦

  2. The Phillies are playing together as a team. A team effort is what wins games. Everyone is stepping up and I am particularly proud of the bottom half of the lineup. Those guys are really getting it done. I love my Phillies and, good on Kyle with #51. ❤
