  1. Don’t agree with the delay of game but I do agree with the goalie playing the puck outside the trapezoid. Goalies now can stick handle and the penalty originally targeted Roy and the few that could.

  2. Remove puck over the glass? Every jackass and their fuckwit cousin will be launching pucks out to give their team a rest. Serious moron base there.

I do agree with the trapezoid getting fired into the sun. Goalies have their crease. Safe zone. If they leave it, they become like any other hockey player.

Offside challenges need to go have a look for some offs to fuck. So yep to that.

    The rest is funny.

  3. I’m curious if the people who voted to remove the puck over glass penalty and trapezoid rules are old enough to remember why they were put in place.

For puck over glass, it was just too easy for players to “accidentally, on purpose” just flip it over the glass when they were in trouble in their own end. It was epidemic. The automatic penalty isn’t ideal, but I think the issue could be better addressed by raising the glass a foot or so and standardizing the heights in all rinks.

Trapezoid rules came into existence because of Marty Brodeur. With modern equipment and training, goalies have become so mobile, the could cut off the dump in the corner and clear it out of the zone with a decent first pass before the attacking team could get to it, essentially making the goalie a third Dman.
