CANUCKS BLOW LEAD + TOP PROSPECT BRAEDEN COOTES INJURED VS SEATTLE KRAKEN
Checking in from Taiwan right now. I am in the exact same spot that I was seated in in the last video that I made checking in from Taiwan from 2019. I’ll see if I can put like a little screen grab up on the screen for y’all just so we can see. You know, I’m in the same area. The ceiling is the same. Of course, the airport is the same. However, the hot air balloons that they have in the background, they’ve moved around a little bit. They’ve renovated the seats. It’s not the exact same layout. Also, the restaurants here are different. There used to be a McDonald’s just over there 6 years ago, but now I’m here in a slightly crowded airport. It’s not as dead as it was 6 years ago when I was making the checking in from Taiwan video in 2019. Now there’s a bunch of people over here and I’m here to try to talk about the Canucks. Maybe I should move to a place that’s a little bit less crowded, shall we? Maybe closer to my gate. Okay, so I am in a much more quiet and secluded part of the airport in front of these uh kind of Death Star looking things. Mickey Mouse, Death Star, anybody? But we have some really bad news. Gosh, the Vancouver Canucks prospects against the Seattle Kraken. Did they totally blow it? I don’t know. And the reason I don’t know is because of course I’m here. I’m at the airport. I am flying back to Tokyo and then I’m going to Japan. Excuse me. Tokyo is in Japan. I’m going to Tokyo, then I’m going to Vancouver. So, by the time lunchtime hits on Sunday in Vancouver, I will probably be back home and settled in. Of course, it is almost lunchtime here in Taiwan. I’m going to be going back in time, folks. But because I am here, I was not able to watch actively the Vancouver Conucks prospect game against the Seattle Kraken, which based off of my understanding reading tweets and seeing some of the video clips, Vancouver didn’t actually do too well. And that’s not surprising because Vancouver never does well. They are cursed by the hockey gods and nothing can be done to undo whatever it is the fates above have bestowed upon this fan base. The Canucks to my knowledge had a 3 to1 lead at the start of the third period. Medvidev in net was looking great. You had some really nice plays out of Vilar Allen. You had a really nice backdoor feed from Elias Patterson. Things were looking great for Vancouver Conucks fans who are watching. a stream. A stream, not the stream, because it was very difficult to find any actual video footage of what was going on in the game. But, uh, yeah, there was a number of ways that people could have watched the game, some with no audio, others providing their own commentary, and Vancouver lost 5 to three. So, uh, yeah, they had themselves the lead to open things up. It was 3-1 3 nothing and then they totally got taken out to lunch. Berkeley Kton got a breakaway goal. Ayay. This is what happens when top tier players end up doing what top tier players do. And when it comes to the Vancouver’s top tier players, oh boy, this is where things get bad. Braden Coots got injured in today’s game. And Tom Vander didn’t look all too great either. He actually got walked on the Berkeley Kat and goal. And you know, this is where Canucks fans have to start uh taking off the dust a little bit and start saying, “Yep, this is our team.” The Vancouver Canucks blew a really big lead and choked away a victory in Seattle where the prospects shined and others totally fell short. Medvidev, for all intents and purposes, I think a lot of people would say that he was fine in net. He’s young, he’s inexperienced, and he was looking pretty good up until the no coverage in the third period, which is what led to a lot of those chances in the first place. Tom Vander, whether or not he’s fine, I mean, some people were saying that he got hurt. I’m not too sure if that’s actually the case. Braden Coots was removed from the game and he did not return because he got hurt as well. So, Vancouver’s top prospects already being vulnerable in the 2025 2026 season. It’s not looking great. And I will probably do my part to just check up some of the highlights, do some extra video work once I get back down in Vancouver. Of course, I could do that here, but I have limited time. My flight board’s in an hour, so I don’t have time to watch an entire hockey game. But with all that in mind, I want you to let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about the Vancouver Conucks losing to Seattle. I am in Taiwan one more time, at least for now, and I’ll be heading over to Japan in a little bit. So, with all of y’all’s comments, let’s get a discussion going about the Canucks. If you did watch the prospects game against Seattle, what were your thoughts? How did you feel about how things went down? I hope you enjoyed this Swedish Trolls 999 and bye.
