The Worst NHL Teams of All-Time
Here are some of the worst NHL teams of all time. Let’s get to it. Perhaps the most surprising thing about the 1989 1990 Quebec Nordics is that the Nordics had four future Hall of Famers suited up for them that year. The 197273 New York Islanders inaugural season was a disaster. But hey, at least they got Dennis Potvin out of it. The 197475 Washington Capitals are arguably the worst team in NHL history. And what makes things worse is that they didn’t even have the first overall pick in the 1975 NHL draft as they traded it. The 199293 San Jose Sharks still have the NHL record for most losses in a single season to this day with 71. The 199293 Ottawa Senators set the NHL record for the longest losing streak at home. And there’s the 1999 2000 Atlanta Thrashers.

Hi hi
Ta yeule les nordiques sont goated
i’m suprised Arizona ain’t here
By modern standard (aka once the salary cap was implemented) the 23-24 Sharks is probably the worst team I have ever witnessed.
8 wins is still better than 0 wins
Pittsburgh was bad too :S
Thrashers were better than penguins 83/84 and that penguins season is infamous for them throwing games to get Lemieux.
Literally chucking players who were performing well down to the A or sending them to other teams
