Oliver Moore on OT Winner | Chicago Blackhawks

What did you see on the game winner play? Yeah, I mean Lord kind of drew up a little play right before overtime and uh just a speed play and that fits my game. So I just tried to take the D wide left fortunately. What does it feel from here? Yeah, it’s cool. Obviously I have a lot of family friends here and you know it’s uh was gone last three weeks so it’s going to be good to see them. But uh yeah, you know it’s awesome and it’s always good to have their support. So you guys talked about that before OT started. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, Lardy said he’s done it like six times in Brford, so I’m going to trust a 70 goal scorer. So, yeah. I know you had chances all night. Was it a relief to finally finish that one game? Yeah, for sure. It’s good to see the puck go in the net. Uh especially, you know, I feel like I didn’t have a lack of chances for sure tonight and uh it’s always good to see it go, especially in overtime to win the game. So, can that do anything confidence-wise for you? I know it’s just a tournament like this, but to carry it over into Yeah, for sure. I think it’s it’s an it’s important to gain confidence here, especially, you know, it’s it’s a game. It’s a hockey game and if you’re not playing well out there, you’re not going to play well in training camp. So, um I think yeah, I think definitely going to carry some confidence in there and yeah, it’ll be good. What else did you take away from this game? Yeah, I thought they were a good team. Uh I think our speed was unbelievable. I thought, you know, it’s crazy playing with some of these guys. I mean, seeing them get up and down the ice and I think that just really helped us out tonight. I mean, there was times where they just couldn’t skate with us and um you know, I think that’s a credit to obviously our team speed and the way we play connected. So, it was it was fun. It was a lot of fun. Really fun game. seemed like you and Lardis had some chemistry, too. Yeah, I mean Lori and I are good buddies and um I mean he’s so easy to play with, you know, he’s he’s always around the net and I mean, yeah, scored 70 goals, so uh speaks for itself. But yeah, he’s a he’s a great guy and I think it just goes right under the ice. So, was there anything you worked on this summer that you tried to implement or you were trying to make a priority tonight and get back to that game? Yeah, I think there’s times I I force plays and I think just trying to hold on to pucks. Um you know, take the play that’s given. uh make make the right play all over the rink and you know obviously execution is a big thing that I worked on like I’ve talked about. So it’s good to see the puck go in the net and I executed on a lot of little plays tonight too so it felt good. Was there anyone on the blue side that uh was tougher to play against? Yeah, they got a lot of really good players. I mean I played against the Swedes of Steenberg and uh obviously those guys over there and they’re always really hard to play against, really fun to play against. Uh, you know, obviously Dalor D’vorski is a highly touted guy and someone I’ve got to know a little bit and he’s obviously really really great player and I think he’ll have a bright future. So, yeah, it’s a fun tournament to be able to play against these guys and especially they’re your age. So, it’s good to see. It’s unique to have so many first rounders at the same time. Yeah. I mean, yeah, it’s like you look around and it’s pretty cool. I mean, Arty, I mean, Art’s back there, you got Renzy, we got ton of first round first round players and even the non- firstrounders. I mean, we’re all really good players, so it’s fun. Anybody any place in uh Minnesota that you recommend eating at? Oh jeez. Around here or I think Billy Sushi. It’s in Minneapolis. Probably 15-minute drive. Check that out. I I went there a couple times this summer. You get the big boat boat of sushi. You got to have it. It’s good. Bring a couple friends, too.
