…. There is no way that the Raptors organization should or would have done the kind of stuff Uncle Dennis wanted. It was literally a one year window. To get a Jordan-esque Kawhi, motivated Lowry, mid season Gasol trade working out, first year coach, VanVleet baby all within a season… Sounds almost unbelievable.

And you can say the same thing about the 2020 season. It took a global pandemic to stop the Raptors’ momentum that season.
Kawhi missed 20+ games that season for load management. We won 15 of them. He was healthy because we made sure he was. The Clippers are fools. They never should have expected him to play a full season.
Unc had no ability to pull some BS due to it being a trade, so glad🙏
I always wonder why Kawhi played so much. I guess because of looming free agency. I was convinced he was going to refuse to play for most of the season, citing injury.
They will never make me hate this man
Well, unless there’s some murder or some shit but other than those extremes we good
Kawhi came into that season with zero leverage.
It makes sense that he played his ass off. Winning a chip gave him and his team all the play in the world. We benefitted through it.
No complaints on my end. One chip is way better than zero.
His reputation was low and we had his rights for the year. It all lined up. He had to play well to protect his legacy and future in the league. We had to play well to rationalize sending deebo out of the building.
No. Masai built the perfect team and just needed the superstar to drop in. It was meant to be.
Kawhi/Uncle Denis just trying to maximize compensation for labour from a bunch of literal billionaires, it’s moral fine to laugh at the clippers for actually doing bootleg maneuvers and still appreciate kawhi’s contribution tonth raptors
also the alternative timeline of mlse giving in to uncle denis’ illegal asks and spinning how he is now a 1% owner of the maple leafs would be very funny
Looking back, I guess he had other aspirations
