According to Ben (via X): "The Blackhawks' 2025-26 point total over/under is 68.5, the lowest in the NHL. But I think they could be a lot better — or a lot worse — than that. There's a wide range of possibilities."
The article basically talks about how the Blackawks could be better than expected if the young players really hit and the vets reach their expectations. Likewise, there is a possibility that the team could struggle.
There's more to the article than that, but with about three weeks let until the regular season…Any predictions for the upcoming season, in terms of points?

Its 100% due to our young guys being very boom or bust. Like its not unforeseeable if Bedard and/or Nazar emerge as near PPG player and the Hawks finish with 85-90 points. Especially if the young guys on defense live up to their potential on both ends of the ice. Our vets have produced in the NHL and they have a year of familiarity with their teammates under their belts.
Its also entirely possible the Hawks struggle in a new system and finish with 60 points again. That wouldn’t surprise anyone either.
Yeah, I think 70+ points would feel like real progress, and 80 points would be a very exciting leap forward. To get above that, something really crazy would probably have to happen (Nick Lardis makes the team and starts scoring like DeBrincat, Knight has a Vezina-caliber season, Rinzel wins both the Calder and the Norris, etc.). 60-70 points is unfortunately also very likely if progress is only incremental, Donato regresses, players get hurt, or Blashill is bad at his job, but that’ll be another long season to watch, so I’d like to hope for a little bit more than that.
