Brad Treliving Discussing TRADE with Chicago Blackhawks Involves Nick Robertson? Leafs Trade Rumours
Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel. We’re going to talk Leafs, Blackhawks, a few other things in the NHL. If you’re a new subscriber, welcome. Hit that like button, comment down below, notifications, of course. So, talking Nick Robertson again. I feel like that’s been a conversation for so long, but it’s a different conversation. It’s actually something that I think Brad Trey Living is looking into. I’ve heard some things just the Leafs talking to the Blackhawks. Originally, I was suggesting that maybe the Leafs go after Tyler Bertusi, bring him back or looking at Conor Murphy, which I might talk about in this video. I probably will. And then you’re also talking about some guys on the I would say on the fringe for both the Blackhawks and Leafs because if you look at the Blackhawks of course they’re a rebuilding retooling team. But they have a log jam on the defense group. They have a lot of younger forwards knocking on the door. So they could move some guys out. A little bit of a change of scenery for some guys and that includes uh Lucas Reichel. So uh Lucas Reichel has been a guy in conversations. I remember earlier in the summer uh it was talked about uh with him getting a change of scenery and then Elliot Freeman brought it up again recently saying that the Blackhawks are willing to move the player. Uh then there was also other conversations about maybe Edmonton because of the like the German connection with Leon Dryidle maybe looking at the Ottawa Senators with Tim Stuts. So there’s some of that stuff going on. But I just feel like there’s been a few Leaf accounts too that have brought this up. I talked about maybe Lucas Reichel being kind of a throwin because I feel like Nick Robertson’s kind of been a throwin some deal. So maybe you do one for one. Uh Kevin P on Twitter brought it up. So I think maybe Riel and uh Robertson could be a swap here. But I have a bit of a bigger trade. Uh it involves uh Connor Murphy going into the Toronto Maple Leafs as a shutdown right defenseman. Right now in terms of daily faceoff, they have him on the third pair for the Blackhawks. So I think the Blackhawks are really trying to get Sam Renzel and Lechinoff more activity on that right side of the defense group specifically in the top four. So they have like seven, eight, nine defenseman that could play NHL hockey this year. So Conor Murphy, yes, he’d be a great veteran presence, but I think he is expendable at some point for the Blackhawks here. So if Conor Murphy comes over to Toronto, the Leafs probably have to sweeten the Nick Robertson package. Maybe the Blackhawks reunite with David Camp as a fourthline center and then it’s a future second round pick. something like that. Again, I do know that Conor Murphy is a great leader in that Blackhawks dressing room, but Nick Robertson scored 15 goals last year. I think if he plays in the top six for the Blackhawks, he would score 20 to 25 goals easy. Lucas Reichel hasn’t really shown that goal scoring ability in uh North American Pro. So, I think if Nick Robertson goes to Chicago, they’re getting more value from him than they would get from Lucas Reichel at this point. And a second round pick is a second round pick. I I I just think at the end of the day, the Blackhawks have a lot of defenseman knocking on the door. So in the least perspective here, this is deep, right? Like the fact that Karen Crow is your 13th forward. Uh that fourth line is definitely improved with Dakota Joshua in the pitcher. I love the potential of Machelli playing with Nick Juan and Mc McMahon. Of course, Michelli on the second or top line could be great too. Uh playmaking to Matthews, Dvar’s knee. Uh but Nick Wah last year scored 15 goals and Bobby McMahon last year scored 20 goals. Machelli is a pure playmaker. If that guy is on that line, there’s a mix of two-way ability here, uh, defensive ability, playmaking ability, and then goalcoring ability. Like I said, between Nick Wis and McMahon, they scored 35 goals combined last year. So, Machelli would definitely have guys that can put in the back of the net, and then you have your really solid top six with a guy like Reichel getting that opportunity. If the Leafs were not to trade Nick Robertson, there is still a legit opportunity with the structure I’m showing you on the screen right now that Nick Robertson can be in the top six. If Machelli finds himself on that third line, Robertson has a real opportunity to play in the top six with Doy and Robertson. I would say next to one next to Matthews and Eyes and the other one next to Tvar and Elander. I think that’s a legit opportunity. And I just want to give a shout. I always want to give a shout to people trying to grow their page. Shout out to Alexander. Uh he kind of talks about I just read his article quickly. He just talks about how Robertson’s in a similar situation as Timothy Lilligrin. He easily could be traded, but if Nick Robertson shows well in camp and the fact that there’s an empty spot on that right wing, Nick Robertson might find himself success on that right side with his left-hand shot in the middle of the ice. I always go back to that overtime winner against the Dallas Stars when Matthews and Robertson were on that uh oddman rush and Matthews gave it to Robertson for that one-time with Robertson on the right side. that opportunity there. It was kind of like, okay, Robertson could find himself on that line with Matthews and NY, an all-American top line, and Matthew Ny can be the guy that goes after the puck. Matthews and Robertson can be two options with a legit shot. You could argue that Robertson was has one of the best shots on this team. So, uh, all of that considering like the fact that the Leafs could use Robertson in the top six with the goal scoring, uh, but they also could, uh, sell it to another team, uh, to see that value and that potential. and the Leafs. I think in that scenario, the trade I showed, they I would say low risk with Lucas Riel, maybe he shows well, but also the Conor Murphy aspect where it’s just a shutdown guy on the right side who could play next to Morgan Riley or play next to Oel and then maybe Carlo finds himself next to Oel. Uh but with the Blackhawks lines right now, maybe the Leafs could go after Tyler Batusi. But what I’m really looking at here is there’s an opportunity where you could slide down Bertusi into the third line, slide down FelinO or McKay to the fourth line and the Blackhawks all of a sudden have really good depth. And I think there’s a scenario where you could put Robertson next to either Baddard or Nazar and he could do really well. Like I would see an opportunity where Bertusi slides down. You put Robertson next to Nazar and Terrain. I think Robertson would strive in an opportunity like that. hit in power play time and then I I already showed the leaf lines, but um uh little preview on the Golden Knights for the next one. But um yeah, so I I think that’s the conversation for Toronto. Do they trade Robertson? Is it for a guy that also needs a change of scenery like a Lucas Reichel or is it for a defensive upgrade because the Leafs have a lot of defensive depth right now? I think in a scenario they could trade Matt Benning, get a guy that’s more legit top four guy or can play a top four uh role. And then they have Henry Thun, Simone Benois, they have Phil Myers, they have guys knocking on the door. So give your thoughts, guys, if you think the Leafs and Blackhawks could be trade partners. I think Brad True Living is talking to Chicago. I’ve heard some stuff, but I’ve also just seen the fit with a few different players on each side. Uh so let me know your thoughts. Bedard for Robinson 1 for 1. Gotta be.
I cant see the Blackhawks trading Connor Murphy at this time as he is only the blue liner that is a truly a vet and they need someone who can help lead the young guys coming.
Please free Robertson from this shit show.
Comment your thoughts! Thanks everyone
2 things: Hawks don't need more bodies, so a 3 for 2 is not going to work. And the Hawks need to take more money back in the trade. They need to make sure to stay at the floor.
Got the playoff beard going a little early.
They need gritty power forwards, defense that will hold the blueline,
would love to see 89 get a long look in top 6 to push fwd his dev. play him in that top 6 until xmas and see how he handles it.
This trade would be great, but i doubt Chicago takes Kampf at his contract while getting rid of their only veteran Dman
Get a 2nd round pick for Robertson…🍂
You nailed it 👏. 👏.
Keep an eye on F Nicholas Robertson from trade rumors and sports insiders that leafs may move before Preseason starts and Nicholas Robertson time in Toronto may coming to end as trade talk about Nicholas Robertson have pick up and from Elliotte Friedman and Kevin Weekes that Sharks are front runner for Nicholas Robertson if true or not we will see?
From trade rumor that Sharks to aquire F Nicholas Robertson and RD Philippe Myers from leafs for LD/RD Mario Ferraro at 25% or 50% retained if true or not we will see?
Robertson will out score Domi on that second line no need to trade I woul rather you trade Domi he is not a bad player but I think Robertson is a better player playing with good players he can score 20 with ease on that second line and 25 or 30 could even be possible Domi will never score 25 goals
From Elliotte Friedman and Kevin Weekes that leafs have been linked to LD/RD Mario Ferraro in trade talk from Elliotte Friedman that leafs looking for Help offensively on blue Line and Mario ferraro is good offensively and defensively and is gritty and fit Craig Berude type of hockey and could give more offensive then Simon Benoit and with OEL heath issues Mario Ferraro could be soild add to bottom pair and Mario Ferraro can play in top 4 on blue Line if needed it would smart move by Brad treliveing
From Kevin Weekes that Sharks are willing for Top 9 Forward with scoring skills and from Kevin Weekes that Sharks have been linked Nicholas Robertson all summer and from Kevin Weekes that Sharks have become leafs top trade Partner
From trade rumor that leafs aquire C/RW Michael McCarron and pick for Calle Järnkrok and F prospect Ryan Tverberg if true or not we will see?
Elliotte Friedman and Kevin Weekes said when leafs trade Ryan Reaves to sharks for RD/LD Henry Thrun that leafs was still in trade talk about players and leafs and sharks had been in trade Talks all summer
Dream on boys. Last thing Hawks need is another sub 180 lb forward. Maybe 1 for 1 with Reichel but to me this is dreaming.
Oh you "think" Brad Treliving might be "thinking about," ….. click baiter.
PLEASE TRADE ROBERTSON 🙏….IM BEGGING YOU TREE!
