Highlighted the important parts.
Ad hoc posts fit the schedule a little easier. But I have some questions for you , since you have all the docs and internal connects
Would you publish a smoking gun right now if you had one ?
Why not publish the docs you have? The emails from Sanberg? You showed us some docs. Why not show the ones you reference? That we have to take your word on ? Particularly since other media said they had seen internal docs as well none have come out with anything relevant to the CBA since your reporting.
And did you ask you internal sources if they said anything to KPMG before they resigned because of suspected revenue fraud ? Or the internal committee they put together to investigate the fraud but apparently, shockingly, found nothing ?
If the ballmer 50/12 was directed to KL, as your sources said, why was he only paid 3.5m and then not paid again till after the next raise in Dec 22 ? And never got his last 7.
Will you correct your attached reporting which implied the 50 was for his 28 ? (“Some might say “)
And btw, they actually paid 29m in carbon credits for the World Cup. One of your execs asked for cash escrow. Sanberg got an email from the other side, and Sanberg overruled the exec and did no cash escrow. Crazily enough, the company got sued and the judge ruled they should get the 29m back
Why does this matter ?
It further shows that Sanberg ran everything. He was in charge. Of everything.
I’ll say it again, the only people who know what happened are Sanberg and KL2
And. If they have collected the 29.5m judgement , none of it went to KL2 .

He then attached screenshots of a transcript of Pablo Torre’s podcast that support his argument.

TL;DR:
Mark Cuban basically argues that if there were any real “smoking gun” evidence, it would’ve been published already, but the reporting keeps pointing to documents and emails (like from Sanberg) without actually showing them. He points out that other media outlets with access to internal docs haven’t found anything to back the story either.
Cuban also leans on the fact that KPMG, the outside auditors, and the company’s own internal fraud committee both looked into suspected revenue fraud and came up empty. On top of that, the supposed $50M/12 payment tied to Kawhi doesn’t line up with the actual numbers, since Kawhi only got $3.5M and never received the rest. Cuban says the reporting even got it wrong by implying the $50M was linked to Kawhi’s “28.”
To him, the real takeaway is that Sanberg was the one controlling everything, as shown by a separate $29M carbon credits deal where Sanberg overruled his own execs and a judge later ordered the money repaid. Just like he did with the Kawhi deal according to the BSJ report and Pablo’s repackaging of that same report as his own this past weekend. His bottom line is that Sanberg ran the show, not Ballmer or Kawhi, and even if that $29.5M judgment was collected, none of it ever went to Kawhi.

The Mark Cuban Unraveling Experience was not something I thought I would enjoy.
At this point they should of just paid Pablo
The All Star Game should just be Mark Cuban and Pablo Torre one on one.
Cuban is down bad man.
How much is ballmer paying cuban to defend him like this?
Imagine being able to do anything in the world and you’re arguing with a dude online.
I can’t wait until Pablo starting dishing the dirt on Cuban lol
I don’t know who is working harder for Ballmer, Cuban or OP
Yup Mark definitely paid Dirk under the table
Brah, Cuban sounds guilty of something. Not sure what but def something
This is like JK Rowling’s weird trans obsession but for Make Cuban. He’s going full lunatic
Why not just stop making me look stupid over and over again? Are you even capable of that?!?
Is Mark Cuban asking why a bankrupt company with no money didn’t pay Kawhi when they were supposed to? Did he forget that they were bankrupt or think this scam company would kept the 50 million in an escrow account and not just fold it into the rest of the scam investments they took in?
Cuban talking like he’s in the Epstein files
Cuban fishing for all the details now so Ballmer can craft a cover story that won’t be debunked later on
Mark Cuban, Steve Ballmer, and the Clippers’ defense hinges on a direct link which most likely doesn’t exist. At least not in the context of a “Joe Smith – Timberwolves” situation (written agreement).
This burden of proof is not necessary for the league and he knows that. Yet he continues to frame things as if this weren’t true at all. Adam Silver said it himself, “a smoking gun is circumstantial evidence”.
I’m not sure why we continue to share Cuban posts at this stage of Pablo’s reporting. At least not without a reply from Pablo. That’s where the entertainment is at.
Cuban seems unwell
Cuban keeps asking Pablo “what are you going to do, stab me?”
And Pablo has repeatedly stabbed him
Billionaires stick together like ducks.
Does Cuban have a crush on Balmer?
The Cuban doth protest too much methinks
Call me crazy. But I have a conspiracy theory that Mark hates Steve Ballmer and keeps acting like a dumbass to lob alley oops to Pablo.
“Why not publish what you have?” is about the quickest way to a lawsuit I’ve ever heard.
Generally a fan of Mark Cuban (as much as you can be a fan of a billionaire), but his response to this whole situation has been so wildly out of touch.
There are clearly things about the Kawhi/Aspiration deal that we don’t understand, but that doesn’t make the deal unlikely or exonerating — it’s just a blank in the story.
The things we don’t understand about the Ballmer/Aspiration deal are logical inconsistencies that, unless there’s a damn good explanation, would mean that the Clippers group are up to something no good.
That’s the difference. Cuban can go on all day about “Ah how come the scheduled payment was late here but not here and blah blah blah” but what matters is what blanks are incriminating and what blanks are just parts of a story.
Mark should know better. He’s playing dumb.
It’s not possible to produce a 1:1 smoking gun. This is a business with thousands of transactions. They’re drawing from a well of funds.
If you’ve ever run or led a business’ P&L, you’d know expenses aren’t always mapped for their intended purpose, unless they’re paid to specific vendors for specific scopes of work.
What does Mark want – a complete paper trail where Clips are paying Invoice #01 to Aspiration amounting $X and Kawhi billing $X to Aspiration at the exact same cadence?
The point was to avoid a paper trail. They clearly made mistakes here and there, hence PTFO, but you’ll still have to join the dots yourself. Wtf.
The chain of “custody” of those Ballmer-Kawhi funds broke down when Aspiration didn’t pace their cash right, and it caused them to ask for top-ups from Ballmer and Wong sporadically.
Dude is defending Ballmer and stretching out plausible deniability to its parameters.
I’m too fucking stupid to keep up with every thing going on so I’m not saying this as an expert or anything, but isn’t there still the entire problem of KL having a no show deal? Like, KL got paid from a non-clippers entity for literally just being a clipper. That’s a problem regardless of all this other stuff, right?
I think Cubans best bet is for Torre to slip once so he can push the narrative to discredit him. Unfortunately in today’s culture the guy who makes 1 mistake gets ganged up on more than the person with 50 slip ups for some reason.
Privileged people always try to get you to show your hand so they can still ridicule you anyway.
cuban is nauseating.
When you think about it Marks theory is solid and explains everything except the one crucial detail. There is still no explanation for why sanberg would give Kawhi $48 million to do nothing.
Cuban keeps on defending the wrong people. Dude constantly taking Ls.
Isn’t it pretty much confirmed that Cherny was the one that did the whole Kawhi deal? So why is Cuban just constantly bringing up Sanberg.
> The Leonard Deal was presented to the company as a completed arrangement and executed by Mr. Cherny despite significant objections from members of this senior management team.
The statement Pablo got from the ex-CFO; ex-COO and CLO; and ex-CTO.
Also we got the text from Sanberg to Cherny with Sanberg throwing a hissy fit over the company and money.
Remember folks. The reason why mark cuban is not the owner of the Mavs anymore is cause they scumbag had to sell the team to settle a lawsuit worth billions cause his scam ass crypto app Voyager scammed investors. Fuck Mark Cuban. Rotten scumbag scamming sack of shit. Mavs (and him) getting their karma ☺️
#RELEASE THE NOWITZKI FILES
Cuban is arguing semantics to try and poke holes. Lawyer tactics. Shameful stuff watching these billionaires fellate each other in the public eye.
Just shut the fuck up
Uhhh what Pablo has provided is a smoking gun relative to what’s in the CBA to warrant being penalized. He’s not in the court of law.
Regardless of the outcome of the investigation, Balmer and Cuban come out of this looking incredibly slimy and stupid
Cuban acting like Ballmer’s personal security blanket
Pablo is going to Vince Carter Dunk of Death all over Cuban if he isn’t careful.
>If the ballmer 50/12 was directed to KL, as your sources said, why was he only paid 3.5m and then not paid again till after the next raise in Dec 22 ? And never got his last 7.
Because the company was a house of cards and spent that money before they were supposed to pay Kawhi? Doesn’t seem that complicated. I mean what is Balmer going to do, sue them for not upholding their end of the illegal scheme?
