TITANS SQUAD SHOW: Brian Callahan LOSES fan base, Cam Ward NOT TO BLAME for loss & Week two thoughts

1. I would have to see an entirely different offensive scheme and play-calling to get back on the Callahan bus. I don't think he will do anything but more of the same, sadly. First, he has to immediately admit that we still have no blocking.

4. Callahan refuses to do anything but run up the middle on 1st and 2nd. Then on third, he designed plays with screen routes 3yds short of the line to gain. It’s incredible to me that you wouldn’t simply send the TE or receiver one step BEYOND the line. Then, the receiver only has to catch the ball. That’s all. But we rely on yards after catch. Two moves, instead of just one. That drives your percentages down by 50% of success. I just don’t understand that.

6. Everybody knows so much about football in the comment section. Getting this negative about a week 1 loss may be the dumbest thing I've ever seen. What a garbage fan base. I'm there when we win, I'm there when we lose and I still think we are gonna win this year. Maybe you didn't notice but Sean Payton made mistakes too. Week 1 is like that. IT DOESN'T MATTER

7. If you think support for Restrepo is because of a bad week 1 for the starting receivers….then you haven't been paying attention.

8. I think the issue with Callahan is that he ultimately just doesn’t inspire the locker room. And if you’re not the “inspiring” type of HC like a Matt LaFleur for example, then you be better be an X and O guru. Which Callahan isn’t.

16. I said it on Titans Reddit last year and I got slammed for it, but Titans need a leader of men for the entire organization and Eddie George is right there coaching. Yeah I know it's Tennessee state, but does anyone doubt he would bring respect back to the team?

17. I'm not firing Callahan after game 1, that said he is under the magnifying glass. Let's see how game 2 goes. I do agree that Callahan doesn't appear to be a motivating/rah rah coach and I would think that his father, having been in the NFL and a head coach for such a long time would be in his ear. Bring back Arthur Smith, whatever it takes and I have no problem with Calli calling the plays into the QB although other than that disaster when the Titans had it on their own 1, had the offense executed and won we'd by celebrating while at the same time be quite surprised they did.
